it seems to me that we’ve become accustomed to the longstanding tradition of wars, wars, wars. finding common ground and civility amongst men who strive to be gods is irony in itself. someday, the ground will shake beneath our feet, our mighty buildings will crumble, and the precious manufactured items that we have slaved over will lay unrecognizable in the ash and rubble. man’s first mistake was trying to find a god in the clouds, a god in the mirror, a god in possessions and technology. all along, god was the earth that raised us, the flowers plucked by tiny fingers, the trees which we used to climb that we now roll flat. a reckoning is coming, beware.

everyone clowns on twilight for glittering vampires but HAVE YOU SEEN FROST IN SUNLIGHT? that shit is glistening and glittering and beautiful. god forbid a woman tries to contribute to vampire lore and add a layer of camp.
they’re vampires. they’re freezing cold. let them glisten in the sun like frost on a leaf. fuck you

"this book was confusing"
have you considered thinking harder, or rereading it with a corkboard, string and a wall of annotated maps?

it sucks to have to hurt someone purely because it will be better for them in the long run. dreading what i’m going to have to do :/ i just want to be kind.
really chill day today :)

god i have seen what you’ve done for others
i came to the park to read in the sun. instead, i’m reading in the sun and wishing that you could take life in a little pill, each time you want to live through something. and you have to see a licensed professional for refills. maybe in another universe.

i was just texting my roommate about how joan didion and sylvia plath always seem to give me the best guidance whenever i’m feeling conflicted.
she said. “well, yes. they were your friends in your past life. i think the answers are within you and their writing explains them in words you can actually understand.”
damn!!!
