“kitty doesn’t! its just illyana and i have no idea why she does it. you’re telling me, do you know what its like to open your facebook messenger and hear a video like that? i’ve known kitty since she was 13, it was honestly scarring. she did. its like on her hip, i think. illyana told me, she was bragging about it. i’ll gossip with you sweetheart. what do you want to know? did you hear beast got stuck in the bathroom without toilet paper for like six hours the other day?” he turned his head, kissing her cheek. “hey hey, its been a long week. i need some uh-release because damn gurl, you thicker than a bowl of oatmeal.”

     “ boy do i wish they would. they’re like rabbits, scott!! ——- we still got it though. sexting doesn’t matter much when you’re always with eachother, which we were - living in the same place, had the same job, school - they’re not always around eachother. i don’t know what made you think splitting those two up was a good idea. ” jean moved comfortably into the male’s arm, left arm wrapping around his waist. “ i might as well be my own roommate. ”

“oh trust me i know, illyana snapchatted me the other day---during whatever---no like body shots or anything just her face. she’s a creep jean. did you know she apparently branded kitty? i haven’t seen the proof or anything to know if its true but i heard it on good authority. well----i thought it would calm them down a bit obviously i was wrong.” he rested his head on her shoulder. “i could be your roommate. i mean at the rate kitty’s going we have what? like an hour or two to do whatever.”

     jean snapped her head over to the door, her hand raised to push her reading glasses ontop of her forehead. head shaking almost immediately at his question. “ i’d — i’d rather not talk about it. let’s just say, illyana. ” petite fingers darted to her temples, rubbing at the skin as she tried to sooth over the remaining migraine from earlier. “ what have you been doing, mister?? ”

scott sighed and shook his head. “god---do those two ever stop? they remind me of us when we were that age. except y’know we didn’t have the whole sexting thing going for us.” he wrapped his arm around her and pulled her into a hug. “just laying around bored honestly, warren isn’t exactly the most fun roommate in the world.”

scott poked his head in the door of the hotel room with a smile. “knock knock.” he said, looking around to make sure no one was naked and entering. “is kitty still in the shower?” he asked walking over to his wifes bed and plopping down beside of her. “wasn’t she in there when i came in here earlier---like five hours ago?”

“their fear is understandable, i’m not denying that. what i’m saying is that its unfair to those of that have caused humans no harm. though i will villify the movement, was it another other politician i’d be more open to the possibility if it but its not, its the most anti-mutant politician in history. i’m not sure if you remember or not but he made  a platform on how we’re abominations against god and how we’ll be punished with hellfire. is that someone you want leading anything that has to do with our people?”

“this newfound alone time sure is nice. i think we should take full advantage of it, don’t you?” he asked with a sly smile. scott loved the woman more than he could ever put in words, spending time with her and the kids were probably the only times he felt truly at peace with the world. “not nearly as much as i love you, tiger.”
