Hello, I go by Cynder!

I am a full-time forestry and entomology student. I also love arts and crafts. My main blog is GlitterFreakz and that’s where I post more “clean” versions of my art.

My goal for this blog is to become more transparent with my artwork. I haven’t really liked my art since I graduated high school and I want to love it again. I think part of it is the perfectionist in me, and I want to become loose and fluid with it once more.

Oh my goodness it’s been a while since I updated! Here’s some progress pics of my suit!!! My head is nearly complete. I just need to finish up the neck and ladder stitch some parts of the mouth.

My tail is done for now! I will be attending AC next week! Unfortunately I didn’t allow myself much time to work on its body suit. I will be doing it after the con!! Next year it should be finished (so long as I don’t forget to work on it)

I will be working on the tail once more after the con so I can add a zipper attachment onto it. I want to be able to zip it on and off of my body suit when it is ready.

As for paws… I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to finish a pair on time. I want very slim ones. Here’s to hoping i can make some???

Ramble :)

I finally tested out my sewing machine after cleaning her MONTHS ago and thinking I broke it. Fortunately, after the light testing I put it though today, she should be good to use once again. I’ve been doing the entirety of my head by hand. My wrists hurt a little.

Luckily, I got some compression gloves that I’ve been wearing while I sew… for the most part. These past few days I’ve been bad about it…. Oops!

This week, I want to finish sewing the face (I have to cut and sew her chin!!) and add the pink whiskers I bought from someone on Etsy. Ummm I also want to make her tail and start working on her feet paws this week.

I’ve asked my partner to help me make a ducttape dummy this weekend so.. hopefully thatll be verrry fun….

I need to get a really big hanger and a rack to hang my dummy onto… I’ll worry about it later.
