deleted scenes ā carlos and jay talk about the future.
Itās odd how much I miss him, considering the fact Iāve never met him. But heās touched my childhood, my outlook, my life, and now it feels like heās left an empty area in my heart where his smile used to be. He was my idol. I aspired (and still do) to be like him, inspire and do as much as he did.
I know Iām still mourning his personality -his laugh and his light, the way he monopolized my attention and gave me a role model. His interveiws and his laugh. I miss his talent, he could have gone so much further in his career.
I also think Iām mourning what could have been. The new foundations or causes he could pick up and push forward. Any ideas he could have used to change the world. The things that donāt exist and donāt even have a chance anymore because he was pulled from us and it feels stupid how angry I am because of it.
May his memory be a blessing
#wemissandimack is trending on twitter. Whoās āweā? Tyrus stans who canāt draw, write, or create any of their own content for their ship, so they need more shitty TJ and Cyrus scenes to grasp on to? Terriās doing the Lizzie Mguire reboot. Sofiaās new show already got another season. Asherās touring. Itās not gonna become the goddamn tyrus show just because their stans want it to.
Okay I'm just ignoring the odd dislike of Tyrus you have. But I miss Andi Mack because I'd like to see more topics explored as the crew moves to high school,
More exploration of Andi at SAVA; What would she make, what statements? What new friends would she meet and how would Cyrus and Buffy feel? How is the shift in school culture going to impact her, especially without her two best friends for the first time ever?
Does the high school have a girls' basketball team? How will Buffy fit into it? How will Buffy and Marty's dynamic work as a couple??
Jonah's family situation. How will his home life shift, there's so much they can do talking about poverty.
Cyrus' stress about college... how will high school amplify that? Would he crash like most "gifted kids" in middle school? How can he get through it?
If course, Cyrus' sexuality. He's the first openly gay main character on Disney Channel. I'd like to see more about it. How does he come out to his parents? Would all 4 react well? Would he be out to the public in high school?? Shadyside seems small, how would that go down???
TJ and his self esteem! How can he further help himself and get help to become a better person and feel comfortable with himself? What about the absolute disaster of the systems and accommodations for students with learning disabilities?
Of course Tyrus, there's a lot to be desired with how they got together. How would they work out; would they be out to everyone or just to friends? What's up with it??
Amber and her own healing process. What is happening with her anger problems and insecurity? How can she work through it?
Bex and Bowie's marriage and the way it may change their relationship while keeping it the same. Bex's shop and Bowie's guitar lessons.
Cece in general, we loved her
Of course these can all be fanfiction ideas, but Andi Mack had a big audience on a large platform and covered some bigger topics. Of course, nobody's demanding, but we liked the show. We miss it.
Hehe true or nah?
Look Iām not saying theyāre dating.... but... theyāre dating
itĀ doesn't matter whether you like the movie or not, you canāt say zed and addison donāt look good together.
I know Iām a Descendants account but I have ONE thing to say about Zombiesā¦
āTheyāre into you and youāre into himāTHEM.ā
Soā¦anyone else HC Non-Binary Wyatt or is that just me
And even when Zeddās being jealous he can remember to respect pronouns.
So, you know how in the first Zombies Addison tried to speak Zombie and failed and in the new tried to speak werewolf and failed. What if, if we get a third one, she meets a different type of people that are her own and speaks their language perfectly.
no offense but "making progress, that sounds great, but what's the price we have to pay?" and "the more i cover up my flaws the more they appear" and "now look up, and tell me what you really see: a bunch of stray wolves or a family" and "no more hesitation, it's time we start to realize, with all this separation silence is still taking sides. so use your voice, make a choice, and tell me, are you standing with the crowd?" are some real lyrics i CANNOT comprehend the fact that they're from a disney channel original movie
This may be a bit controversial, but here we go:
High School Musical the Series has/will canonically have two gay moms and two gay teenagers (played by real teenagers) who are going to date (most likely).
But....
Itās not Tyrus.
The two gay moms can go rock on and be amazing because there needs to be more gay parents in media so theyāre not going to be included in this that much.
But this is about Seblos and Tyrus.
Iām glad that thereās going to be a gay teen couple in a Disney show aimed at a younger audience. Scratch that, Iām excited as hell! But one thing isnāt hitting me right, and thatās that the two boys seem to be leaning towards stereotypes.
Thereās nothing wrong will falling under a stereotype, let me get that clear! People should be authentic to themselves, but Seb and Carlos are falling into stereotypes right now, both into musical theater and Carlos having a bit of āflamboyanceā and Seb being cast in a female role, itās not bad in it of itself, but it can be so easy to fall into the stereotypes that make straight people automatically assume that all gay boys are effeminate and act in certain ways.
Thatās why I loved Tyrus so much. Cyrus did check a few stereotype boxes, but he was such a well rounded character and had a journey that didnāt solely focus on his sexuality, it focused on his growth and friendship. But T.J....T.J. was played so straight (pun intended) that Disney even tried using edits to make him look straight (see the look back controversy). He was this athlete (with layers-another pun intended) who the only hint that he was gay was the way he looked at Cyrus. Props to Luke and Josh for playing their interactions so perfectly!
I think Tyrus, especially T.J., was important because it broke down the stereotypes, almost like it was telling people āgaydar? What gaydar? Hereās a gay teen who is nothing what you expect a gay teen to look and act like!ā I was hoping for that in HSMTMTS, and right now, I donāt see it. I hope Iām proven wrong and these characters do get fleshed out and other producers see how wonderful these representations are and create more characters like that.
Okay, that was my rant
!!! With Cy I immediately wondered if they were trying to queet code him, but it took time with TJ
Kinda both sides of the spectrum
Tyrus is about two middle school boys who help build each other up and go through self-discovery about their sexuality and what it all means and finding the courage to express their feelings for each other at a young age
Seblos is about two high school boys who have a love for the theatre and one of them finds the courage to ask the other boy out to a dance and they happily dance the night away
The people trying to trash Tyrus and compare them to Seblos literally donāt realize that Disney Channel and Disney+ are not the same thing.
1. It doesn't air on TV, so they can be more explicit
2. Tyrus ran so Seblos can walk
this scene literally saved my life. they look so happy!!
guys Iām literally crying...I canāt imagine being 12 years old, and seeing a couple like seblos on screen. itās not made as a joke. itās not a āvery special episode.ā itās not in the background. itās not subtle. these are two teenage boys who get to share a sweet relationship in the beginning of a series, not the last second. these are two teenage boys who are seen as equals to the other characters, and who arenāt repressed bullies or the butt of every joke. these boys have friends like ashlyn who donāt make a big deal out of these things. these boys are seen as socially acceptable, and not a rare and psa type occurrence. I am beyond thrilled that the children of today have couples like seblos on screen, and see friends like ashlyn supporting them as a healthy ally and not someone in search of a gay best friend. kids today are going to start seeing that their existence as real, serious, common, precious, and normal. and I am thrilled.
Team Saying You Want To Apologize Counts As Apologizing
Team No It Does Not
I just wanted to take a moment, to talk about Cameron Boyce. I think alot of you guys know him or have at least heard of him by now.
Cameron was an actor that rose to fame on the Disney channel show "Jessie " and was also one of the main characters in the successful descendents franchise, he has numerous other acting credits and accolades to his name
But I'm not here to talk about his career or about what a great actor he was, he was clearly talented, being a natural actor and a phenomenal dancer as well. But I want to take this chance right now, while I have your attention to tell you about his legacy. I want to tell you about how much more cameron was than just another Disney channel actor.
Cameron Mica Boyce, used his influence and position as a celebrity to bring attention to many organizations and movements he believed in, he helped raise over $27,000 for theĀ Thirst Project, which helps bring clean water to underdeveloped countries.
Not only that supportedĀ United Way of America's initiative to end homelessness. He helped raise money for the HomeWalk in 2015, and continued to do so up until the end of his life.
Cameron worked withĀ It's On Us, a social movement created to raise awareness and fight against sexual assault on college campuses for both men and women.
And one of the last things he did before his death was participating in Wielding Peace, a social media campaign in conjunction with Delaney Tarr, co-founder ofĀ March for Our Lives. In Boyce's own words, the campaign would "help fight against gun violence by showing celebrities and survivors 'wielding' a new kind of weapon ā one of unity."
Cameron was not just a Disney actor, he was more than a celebrity. He was a bright light passionate to use his platform to make a difference in the world. Something he still continues to do so, even today
It takes a second to reblog ā„
i loved him for all these reasons and more. he was so much more than a disney actor. freckles, i miss you and your wisdom and your spirit infinitely. this will never make sense.
He was a huge inspiration for me growing up and sure he's a Disney actor but he's so much more. I miss you, Cam. I still can't believe you're gone.
It happened so long ago but every day it feela I wake up to it. I still can't believe it isn't a dream.
May your memory be a blessing.
