I love juffy and tyrus and Wandi but I think I’m gonna wait till next weeks episode to fully analyze this one and give all my thoughts and opinions or I might just keep them all to myself. I just really hope that no jyrus shippers think I’m tying to be insensitive so I’m gonna wait a week and let all you guys mourn the loss of yalls truly amazing ship and I do want to make another formal apology to all of y’all considering two seasons worth of build up just came crashing down and my heart is hurting for y’all. I saw a post that kinda spoke about this and I agree I’m glad they didn’t make Buffy’s crush some destructive thing like Cyrus realizing his crush on Jonah in season 1 is different because sexuality is very complicated and it takes some time but I do appreciate a quick and dramaless realization but other thoughts on this episode I thought the jyrus moments were great aside from that one scene (my heart goes out to any and all jyrus shippers y’all were done so wrong after two seasons of build up) and I’m glad they do establish a friendship even though I not 100% convinced that Cyrus is completely over it I’m glad their scenes were still cute and another thing why is my boy Ham being messy tonight it’s his job to do the opposite smh but glad he’s taking initiative in his life and that he doesn’t always just have to be a supportive for his family’s dreams and he deserve to live out his own and can I just say those dumplings looked really good anyways onto jandi ugh they make me cringe like I love every shipper and every ship but can jandi just be friends like they’d be great friends I just don’t think they have any romantic chemistry and it’s a super toxic relationship I’m high key disappointed in Disney for promoting the relationship as much as they do teaching young boys and girls that that’s how relationships work is not okay the targeted demographic is really young and could make an imprint on someone’s life and another thing is juffy and jandi parellels I saw a post bringing up about how drastically different the two ships are like jandi is so drawn out no communication and it’s exhausting so I’m glad the showed how straight to the point juffy would be. I did think the juffy thing was cute maybe not super well written but cute (not saying anyone has to ship cool if you don’t) but I did like the scenes I was kinda secretly hoping for juffy since season one but we had muffy which I always loved but I like juffy bc I’m a fan of the whole don’t really see what the big deal is with person oh wait they’re secretly great ( I had a real life situation very very similar so I might be impartial) overall I thought it was a nice episode other than one scene I can’t wait to tune in tomorrow and I can’t wait to see all the juffy, jandi, jyrus, tyrus, ham, cuffy content I hope all y’all continue with this fandom the people in it are what makes it so special!

While I Have You Here, A Hot Take: Buffy’s arcs have been the most progressive and best written arcs on Andi Mack. 

Where as things like Bex’s teenage pregnancy and Cyrus’ sexuality are new for Disney, these things have been addressed in teen dramas before. I think it’s much more rare to see things like seeing a young girl have to work twice as hard as her boy counterparts to reach her goals, only to be shut down by a boy at the top anyway. Or, see a young POC deal with the education system supporting bigots over their students of color.

What we’re seeing with Buffy is a character that actually represents young WOC, and I really don’t think other teen dramas have dared to critically address the Black BFF trope this directly (literally the episode is called “It’s not about you,”) or use it to launch such an amazing character.

This, of course, isn’t to hate on any other character arc! Just to praise Buffy, because she’s perfect and I stan.

So my fellow Juffy shippers it’s currently 5:30 am and I’m thinking about this promo like obviously the promos are supposed to be extremely misleading for example the entire 2b promo is so scattered so nothing is really connected but I was thinking what if they knew we wouldn’t think they would show us an actual picture of Buffy’s crush like obviously it’s a choir picture and it’s of our dear Jonah Beck but what if we think the promo is being misleading but it’s actually not but the promo makers knew we would read into it too much so they’re doubling tricking us. Bc the yearbook scene and the “your crush is on him” scene are different ones but what if they’re actually giving us spoilers but now we’re too skeptical of them. Alright I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore I’m sorry goodnight.
