Remember if you live somewhere where this is an option you need, you need to be keeping a healthy stock of pregnancy tests and using them regularly to catch the pregnancy early enough. It is incredibly common for people to only find out well past 10 weeks. Of course that can be expensive so look for the paper strip type that doctors use, not the bulky plastic types typically advertised for home use if you can. And dont fall for marketing gimmicks with pregnancy tests, they all work about the same, you don’t need a digital screen and if in doubt do another test tomorrow.

(Also do your test first thing when you wake up for best results)

So many TV shows/movies depict the Epi Pen as a total solution for anaphylaxis...it's not. The Epi Pen gives you 30 minutes to get to a hospital where they can save your life. TV makes it look like you just have to use the Epi Pen and then the crisis is over. Do people without allergies or a loved one with allergies know that an Epi Pen only buys you time? The more I see this on TV the more I worry...

Omg so much this! I have to use my epipens about three times a year and my doctor recommends I shoot both of them in my thigh and then call an ambulance! They are a STABILISER not a cure!!

Since a lot of people don't know this, I'll point out that Narcan works the same way. It's not a one-and-done. It buys you time for the EMTs to show up.

That’s because your brain doesn’t know what news to brace for next, or what next month will hold. Tired easily? That’s because your brain is burning energy ten times faster than usual. Can’t seem to focus? That’s because your brain has temporarily shut down some functionality in your prefrontal cortex – the part that juggles complex tasks and planning – due to the stress response.

Feeling creatively blocked? That’s because your brain has temporarily diverted all its creativity (aka ability to solve novel problems) to “how do I avoid dying?” while in a narrowed, slow burn, fight-or-flight state. Suddenly don’t give a fuck about future-based goals, projects, or dreams like you used to? That’s because your brain knows being short-sighted is a safer way to cope right now.

Your plans, creativity, energy, focus and motivation are on a yo-yo right now, because your brain believes you need to be extremely adaptive. You will not be on this rollercoaster forever. Be patient with your brain.
