a duo of rappers i had the chance of chatting with after a concert! rok is a trans man

THÉA - hyperpop - french

i went to one of her concerts this year! i bumped into one of my siblings that i didn't know was going too and came out to them that day

rok, dudu and THÉA are friends and have made a few songs together

a friend introduced me to their music! they're a duo of two women, one of them is trans

changeline - trap - english, french

her songs are literally so good i love her music so much

the transatlantics - alternative rock - english, french (only in the intro of one song so far)

band that was formed last year, composed of kayla @kaylasartwork, bubble @bubbleverseart, and leïla (who doesn't have a tumblr blog afaik). i am impatiently waiting for them to have a concert close(ish) to where i live so that i can buy the cd of their debut album, aptly named the transatlantics

i discovered her music because someone sent me a link to a vid of her making a 9/11 joke. no, i am not kidding. her music scratches an itch in the back of my brain that i can't really explain

Maple Syrup: It's fine. I have a friend whose family makes it though and that freshly made shit is INCOMPERABLE- I got to taste some that had apparently "burnt" while reducing and that was really really good as well, enjoyed the smoky taste. My baby brother is obsessed but imo it's just aight

Bagged Milk: We don't have that in my particular part of the world but it seems like a fine idea? Uses less plastic, keep it propped up in a jug, uses less space in the recycling.... wait, is it recyclable? Idk. Not much weirder than like a Capri Sun pouch. Not sure what the fuss is about

the scariest thing about old tv isnt really the racism or the sexisim because you kinda go in braced for that it's all the scenes where suddenly an actress is holding a lion cub or a chimpanzee is in the same room as a toddler, or suddenly theres a lion, or there's a chimpanzee again but it's driving a car, or holding a lighter, or holding fireworks. You just kind of watch in horror as over and over an actress performs with only 1960s tv film shootings best animal handling between her and the opening to Nope.
