Roover Brothers Co. Donkey Wonder Fortune Teller

An excellent reproduction of the 1899 original, also known as the Educated Donkey, manufactured by the Roover Brothers Co. until 1910. It features a domesticated donkey automaton dressed in the appropriate clothing and is displayed in an attractive lighted cabinet. The automaton’s mouth rapidly shudders while the arms move up and down, ultimately spinning the wheel to stop at a specific number. There is a chart numbered 1-24 with fortunes such as, “That little scheme of yours will turn out alright.” Complete with marquee, reading “Donkey Wonder Will Solve Your Problems.” (Source)
