You have caused my companions to shun me; you have made me an abomination to them. I am shut in so that I cannot escape… Is your steadfast love declared in the grave, or your faithfulness in Abaddon? (PS 88:8+11)

Abu Ghraib torture and prisoner abuse
The Abu Ghraib scandal came to light in around April 2004, where leaked photographs and videos exposed the brutality of occupation forces in Iraq. It remains one of the most widely documented human rights offence of the 21st century. The case is characterised by its intense psychological and physical torture, sexual abuse and dehumanization of innocent humans.
A little backstory:
Located just outside Baghdad, Iraq, the Abu Ghraib facility was intentionally a prison, known for the torture and execution of 'rebels' under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein. Soon after the 2003 invasion it was repurposed as an U.S. detention center, with the intention to hold thousands of Iraqi detainees, ranging from civilians to wanted criminals.
The photographs:
The photos leaked are incredibly interesting and unusual, as they don't appear as professional documentation, but quite the opposite. The images were taken using early consumer digicams, giving the photographs a careless and trophy-like vibe. Guards are seen posing besides beaten, hooded and mistreated prisoners, stacking them into so called 'dog piles' and forcing them into stress positions.
Consequences:
In result of the reports of their cruel behaviour, eleven lower-level soldiers were convicted of dereliction of duty, maltreatment and assault. However, the defence argued. Official reports, such as the Taguba Report, claimed that the guards were working in a dysfunctional environment. Military police was encouraged to soften up detainees to make them more cooperative during interrogation. While the lower-ranking guards served some time in prison, higher ranking officials mostly escaped legal accountability, causing in lots of outrage and debates.
Images:
Abdou Hussain wrapped in cables and forced to stand on a box, whilst a guard carelessly clips his nails besides him. He was falsely told that if he stepped off, he would get electrocuted.
Charles Graner forcing an inmate into a stress position.

Thank you for reading:)) Im currently hyperfixated on this case and want more people to know about it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. This post was made for educational purposes.

When you start talking to yourself for to long and you begin to sound like Adam Lanza
Although ER was very shy and described himself to be shy as a child-teenager in his manifesto, when he was angry, he'd crash out in public to the point he tried to push girls off a balcony despite being shy. Why? Because when you're angry while being a shy person naturally, your adrenaline and sheer anger overshadows your behavior that tells you to be quiet or submissive. When you're angry, you care less about how you're perceived in public and just want your feelings out. I am a naturally shy person but when I'm angry at my family, I don't care about how I'm perceived and have no issue yelling or screaming at them in public because I want my feelings out.

The Eaton Township Weis Markets Shooting: Perpetrator, Shooting, Victims and Layout + Location of the market.
Perpetrator: Andrew Blaze ( September 17, 1992 - June 8, 2017 )
Andrew Blaze (birth name Randy Robert Stair) lived in Dallas, Pennsylvania with her parents and brother.
Blaze had a pretty big online presence (you can find her videos here), primarily on her youtube channel, PioneersProductions, which started in 2008. The channel originally featured sketches, but by 2014 the channel had shifted direction and Blaze launched an animated series called Embers Ghost Squad, inspired by the character Ember McLain from the series Danny Phantom.
Blaze had high functioning autism, high functioning doesn't mean an absence of symptoms it means a person can function normally, which she did until the psychosis took over.
Blaze had suicidal ideation due to Ember McLains death from arson, and claimed in one of her videos that McLain wanted her to commit murder because her "Ghost Squad needed more souls."
Blaze struggled with gender identity, since she was a woman, born as the male sex. Its a controversy wether she's transgender or not, and she herself did not identify with the term, but there's a good amount of journal entries proving she was (that you can see here). She wanted to undergo gender affirming surgery, but never did. She was wearing women's underwear when she carried out the shooting.
Throughout 2017, Blaze uploaded numerous videos documenting her plan and motivations. Blaze was a misanthropist and misandrist, despite being born male. She had a strong fascination with mass shootings, especially the Columbine High School massacre.
The shooting:
Early morning on June 8, 2017, at about 11.00pm Blaze arrived at the Weis supermarket she had worked at for seven years. Blaze started barricading multiple doors with wooden pallets, while working. Blaze went to the crew area and blocked the remaining exits, and locked the automatic doors at the main entrance. Blaze then pulled out two pistol gripped 12-gauge pump action shotguns. She fired a total of 59 shots, killing three of her coworkers, before taking her own life. The attack was four minutes long.
Victims:
Victoria Brong, aged 25, assistent tag manager was shot 4 times. Terry Lee Sterling, aged 63, shop assistant was shot twice. Brian Hayes, aged 47, night manager and Navy veteran was shot 5 times.

human beings who had lives and relationships, ripped away from their bodies by a young man who desperately needed help, though andrew was not the first and will never be the last to commit what he did, and that may be the saddest part ||
