Hey, Blaise, been a while since I last saw you! What's been going on?
Oscar, my man! I see you’re still dashing as ever. :) I’ve… been well. I’m glad you could make it to our little shindig at the beach. Soak up the sun and all that jazz. What have you been up to lately?
He tries not to let Blaise notice the worry in his face at her distant, pained expression. She tries to hide it, but she’s not exactly sober and let’s be honest, her emotions have always been painted pretty plainly on her face. It’s a trait to be loved and feared. Still, today is her vacation day, not the day for him to interrogate her about what’s really going on. So he returns her evil smile and says, “Oh Blaise, why do we have to pick one or the other? But this won’t be easy, Seth is often too oblivious to humiliate. Anything involving subtlety is out.”
Blaise cocked her head slightly. Was something troubling him? But the expression was gone in an instant, and he visibly perked up considerably. Maybe she had just imagined it in her not-so-sober state of mind.
She pretended to smack her forehead, but accidentally put too much force behind the swing of her arm and nearly toppled over in her chair. (Luckily, her hand went way past her forehead, so her palm only connected with air.) “The best of both worldsss! Why didn’t I think of that??”
Unconsciously settling back into her seat, she eagerly returned a smirk. “Alright, Mr. Dashing DA, let’s mess with Seth. Not too much, though. After all, we need stay out of jail to enjoy some drinks.”
"Can we blindfold him from behind, then truss him up like a turkey before stringing him up a flagpole? Then we slash his tires and give his baby a new paint job. Maybe some ‘Seth is Death!’ and ‘Seth is the New Plague’ decals? … Wait, that’s too much work, can we just run him outta town?"
How much was too much?
Oscar blinked at Blaise as she almost fell out of her chair and listen to her suggestion on how to get some revenge on Seth. He wondered how offended she would be if he tried to cut her off. "I don't know Blaise, I think we both like our jobs too much to do something like that. Maybe we could stick to something a little more middle school. Like putting food dye in his fake tanner or something."
