this is by no means complete, but given how things are developing just now almost everywhere I thought I’d share a collection of practical n theoretical zines and newspapers from the UK underground anarchist press during similar struggles at the end of the last century

CLASS WAR - an archive with 10 old issues of the newspaper from 1984 - 1995

THE HEAVY STUFF - an archive with all 5 issues of the Class War Federation’s theoretical journal

INSURRECTION MAGAZINE - an anarchist magazine from the 80s edited by Jean Weir which introduced the ideas of the insurrectionists in Greece and Italy to the UK

Beasts of Burden: Capitalism, Animals, and Communism (1999) - The aim of this anonymous pamphlet was to initiate a debate between animal liberationists and revolutionaries

The ANGRY BRIGADE DOCUMENTS & CHRONOLOGY - Shows some extent of the armed struggle that was carried out in Britain in the late sixties and early seventies, reproposing the validity of armed attack against capital in all its forms.

Tame Words From a Wild Heart - a collection of essays by Jean Weir (not actually from last century at all, from 2016 but a good one to read if you’ve enjoyed what’s above)

so I think I might start posting some stuff about my "college journey"

I'm basically a normal kid from a small poor school who knew fuckall about college stuff and is learning everything myself

I think if there was something like this and I read it it would make me feel better so I seriously might

I really dont want to go to college like why the hell do I have to BEG to pay someone thousands of dollars I dont have

I genuinely have no clue how I'm even going to afford to eat in college

how am I supposed to deal with still being quarantined and writing a ton of college essays that are basically sucking the dick of whatever college you're going to and then have to take on hundreds of thousands of dollars of student loans when I'll be barely 18???

how does anyone deal with this

You just have to keep going. It'll suck. It will really suck, but from personal experience I can say that having a favorite beverage, and screaming can actually get you through writing a paper.

Talking to yourself about how you are angry you have to do this will actually help get through difficult portions of your work.

Putting SOMETHING down on a page, even if you know you'll get like a D- on it, is far better than handing in nothing. Unfinished? hand it in. Hand something in. Something is better than nothing.

As for feeling like you're not dying? Lol I hate to say it, but the crushing debt you're going to take kills you every day, more so than the classes. Just hope you can get a job in your field as fast as possible and hope your debt won't be THAT bad.

I'm sorry if this made you feel uncomfortable. I can't really sugarcoat the fact that college has been the worst decision my generation had to make. I live in America and most people I know that are my age are drowning in college debt, it ruined us emotionally, and financially.

oh you didn't make me uncomfortable at all I get it I'm just annoyed that this is the choice people have to take

it just sucks that that's they way stuff is when it totally doesn't have to be like there is no reason it has to be so difficult and costly to get an education

because I'm still fucking quarantined I've been thinking about so many shitty things in life that are only shitty because that's the way things have always been done

I know far too much about the ins and outs of public education and it's a mess and sooo many things to do with education are a mess

anyway I'm rambling but I fully register that things will suck I'm just pissed that it seems like the only way
