✨Being woken up in the middle of the night because your little had a nightmare (or they can’t find their paci) ✨Knowing all of your littles stuffies by name ✨ Remembering every line to their favorite movies ✨ Stickers on everything you own ✨ The only bandaids you have are cartoon/movie related ✨ Your pantry is always stocked with their favorite little snacks/food ✨ At least ½ of your dishware consists of sippies, plates, and silverware that your little one begged for at the store ✨ Crayons are everywhere as well as toys ✨ Your fridge is covered in their colorings and drawings ✨ Having to hide makeup because you know no matter what your little will get into it ✨ Giggles followed by a long silence means having to check up on them immediately (and possibly bring along some cleaning supplies) ✨ Your bathroom is filled with bath supplies for them ✨ Playdates are always the best time of the week ✨ Walks in the park take hours because you can’t say no to them when they ask to play at the park ✨ Ordering their food for them at restaurants is basically a reflex

How to Calm a Fussy Little: LDR Version

🌻Find the root of the problem, like hunger or fatigue or missing you and plan accordingly

🌻If you can, call them so their fussiness doesn’t turn into a tantrum

🌻If you can’t call them, have them do tasks for you so keep their mind off whatever’s making them fussy

🌻A nap may be necessary

🌻If they can, tell them to use their baba (bottle), paci, or little gear that calms them

🌻Text them with a voice recording of you saying something calming or soothing, like “shhh baby, Daddy/Mommy is right here” if you can’t video call

🌻If they get really fussy often, pre record them a video saying you love them + other soothing things

🌻Have them cuddle with a stuffie or pillow - when I miss daddy I fold my pillow in half to make a Pillow Daddy

🌻Have then drink tea, hot chocolate, or another warm beverage without (much) caffeine

🌻Remind them you’re there for them, always

🌻Remind them you love them, even if they’re fussy

🌻Reward them if they calm themselves down

🌻But if they throw a tantrum, try not to lose patience and calm them down as quickly as possible

🌻Be aware that more fussiness than normal, not regressing often enough or MUCH more than normal, etc. can be a sign they’re going through something, never hurts to ask

🌻After all the fussiness and possible tantrum is over, remind them that it’s ok to be fussy and express those feelings (in fact, my daddy thinks it’s adorable when I get fussy over missing him)

Who else gets super fussy? I know I do..as I write this it’s 4:25am and I’m up because I’m fussy from missing daddy. Anywayyyyssss hope this helps!

❤ As well as stuffies

❤ The cupboards will be filled with cute baby plates, bottles and sippys

❤ Ill have my own ‘little’ corner complete with princess tent and pile of stuffies

❤ Ill have a to do chart and a sticker reward system

❤ Ill have a daily routine and responsibilities 

❤ Ill get to see daddy everyday!

❤ Daddy will make me my meals

❤ Ill get to eat a dino nuggies and little foods all the time

❤ Ill have bath time with daddy complete with bubbles and bath toys

❤ Daddy will pick out what I wear everyday/ dress me

❤ Ill get bedtime stories read to me every night, while cuddling with daddy

❤ Ill wear ‘little clothes’ and onsies 24/7

❤ Every night will be Disney movie night

❤ Ill get to sleep every night cuddled up with my daddy ❤
