Listen, sometimes life is too fast and a blue floor serendipitously presents itself and you remember a picture of a wave mother dress you saw from earlier and well…
He could never leave the water, NEVER!
Misread this as menstruation
Dahling you simply must read this book! It’s all about this devious little caterpillar who simply gorges himself on all manner of divine things
the real mystery really does remain how did the same writers (markus and mcfeely) and the same directors (the russos) responsible for cap 1-3 aka
-steve rogers never gives up no matter how tired he is bc he cannot turn a blind eye from injustice. and while he can retire from being cap (and the battlefield) there is always another fight
-his entire ten year arc was about going from a man out of time lost, severely depressed and with no direction to someone who had carved out a life for themselves in the present. coming to peace with what he lost, making new friends like sam, and finding himself
-peggy told him that she lived her life and no one can go back. sometimes you need to start over
-the most important person in his life was bucky barnes. they'd been friends since they were six and INSEPARABLE. steve told bucky to kill him because he wouldn't go on without him. steve's face and the phrase 'til the end of the line aka til death do they part broke thru 70 years of brainwashing
and they still decided he wouldn't mourn bucky or sam at the support group? that he could leave them and retire in the 1950s while segregation was still legal, while bucky was being tortured, while hydra was infiltrating the world, and do NOTHING?
an added layer of fucked up is that a huge plot point to the winter soldier was “even when I had nothing, I had bucky”. when steve had no family or friends to speak of, bucky had been there. steve even says ‘I can get by on my own’ to which bucky immediately replies, ‘the thing is, you don’t have to’. because he was there til the end of the line for the most important person in his life. aka I will be here til I die no matter how big that storm cloud over your head is, no matter how tough the times are, and you will never have to ask. but then the russos decide that when bucky finds himself in the same boat—no family no friends no home and mentally vulnerable—steve couldn’t do the same?
Imagine being one of the parents for the kids in the Magic School Bus class. Getting those field trip permission slips home every single night.
Like what, another one? Doesn’t she teach? This just says Inside a Dog
I deadass think steve rogers ending was character assassination and conservative rhetoric (send the progressive man back to the decade epitomes with traditional values for a white picket fence life) but it was also just cruel to steve and bucky. “oh ur just mad ur ship didn’t go canon” no im mad the friendship that was the most important thing in both of their lives was tossed aside and the audience was gaslit into believing it didn’t matter despite three films proving otherwise. steve dropped the shield twice for bucky and would have died rather than live in a world where bucky didn’t remember him. bucky broke thru 70 years of brainwashing at the sound of steve’s voice. their catchphrase was essentially “til death do we part”. the fuck

knowing how it tends to go with male authors and their wives it was probably marge who wrote the odyssey
"Steve left Bucky but Bucky would never have left Steve"
STEVE WOULDNT HAVE LEFT HIM EITHER THEY WERENT EVEN DOOMED BY THE NARRATIVE THEY WERE DOOMED BY MARVEL EXECS WHO COULDNT HANDLE PEOPLE CALLING CAPTAIN AMERICA GAY. DONT TRY TO ACT LIKE CIVIL WAR AND ENDGAME STEVE WERE THE SAME GUY WE WERE LIED TO.
