so i was going to do a whole, long post regarding daemon's arc in hotdog s2 and go over my thoughts and things i want to incorporate in my portrayal but then i realized that it really doesn't need to be a whole thing bc i very simply will hardly be incorporating anything from s2 in my portrayal of him and i would rather not make a post about every little thing i didn't like about this season🤭 all i will say is there were some things that i liked the idea of (namely him being haunted while at harrenhal) but unfortunately the execution of everything completely missed the mark for me! in my show verse for daemon, he plots blood and cheese with aemond as the main target but jaehaerys as the back up target and he does go to take harrenhal as he does in the show minus the fight with rhaenyra and minus the insane idea that he is going to rule over rhaenyra as king. perhaps some haunts here and there as a treat, but nothing like what was portrayed in the show

I am aware that I am surrounded by people who feel that they could do the job better, strong people with powerful characters, but for better or worse, the crown has landed on my head.

To do nothing is often the best course of action.

Who we are is not what we wear or what glitters. It’s the spirit that defines us.

You understand, the titles, the dukedom. They’re not the job. She is the job. She is the essence of your duty. 

People are so rarely what they seem.

To do nothing is the hardest job of all. And it will take every ounce of energy that you have. To be impartial is not natural, not human.
