ohatticus:
While his head was on fire, Atticus tried his best to block out everything else that was happening, everything that would only cause him to feel worse than he already did. There was a pounding in his head - - like something was trying to push through, trying to pry it’s way out. The pain was unbearable but familiar, like something he felt before. He could recall when he was younger, prior to his medication and these headaches being the reason for the medication in the first place, but the doctor’s could never find anything wrong with his brain - - maybe this was just something he had to suffer through and not mask it, something he had to just let happen to see what awaited him when it was all over. Although it felt like only death awaited him at the end of this, Atticus had to be strong, he had to survive this, for his own sake. Lowering the water bottle, he prepared to turn around - - expecting the space behind him to be empty, however, before he even had the chance to do so he felt the other male behind him. Arms wrapped arm him, and suddenly he was completely encased by the other, and focusing on the feeling as well as the person attached to it helped ease his burning mind.
Releasing a sigh of relief at the ceasing pain, it then dawned on Atticus that this was happening, that instead of running away, Dae had stayed and held him. Smiling softly, Atticus tried his best to calm his heart now as he slowly turned around in Dae’s arms to look up at him, a soft expression on his face as he kept focusing on the other, not wanting to even think of anything else just yet. Bringing his hands to the older males arms, he gave them a gentle squeeze before his brows twitched into a slight furrow. ‘Don’t leave’, echoed in his mind and while he had though it, it wasn’t in a voice he recognized - - nor had he been thinking it at this moment. There was only three voices Atticus immediately knew in his thoughts, his own from when he was a child, his mother’s (which was what every woman sounded like to him) and his father’s. This voice had been neither of the three. Focusing a bit more, as if mentally trying to follow the trail of crumbs left by the voice, he heard another in the same tone ‘Safe’. He swallowed hard, wondering if he was losing his mind, if this was what happened when he wasn’t on his medication. “Hyung…” He whispered hesitantly. “I think something’s happening to me.” He added, before he heard ‘I think I might love him’, causing Atticus to puff out his cheeks before responding to the thought. “You should know if you love someone or not, it’s all in how they make you feel.” He stated before shaking his head. “I’m sorry, I think I’m talking to… myself. I dropped my pills, I can’t find them - - my mind is just coming up with randow things right now, it kinda hurts. I’ll be fine though, I probably just need to lay down.”
Dae nuzzled his face into the back of Atticus’ head, his eyes falling shut as he enjoyed the smaller male being tucked into his embrace. He didn’t want him to leave, he couldn’t stand the thought of him leaving. He didn’t care about anything else. He didn’t care of Atticus decided that he didn’t love him anymore, and even if Atticus decided that he hated him. Just as long as he didn’t leave, just as long as he stayed there with him. That was all that he cared about. His grip on him tightened as he became overwhelmed in his own thoughts and feelings. He didn’t want him to leave, he wanted him to stay. He loved him.. Or at least he thought he did. Dae Keun hadn’t been in love before. At least not really. People didn’t stick around long enough to actually fall in love with him, so in turn he couldn’t fall in love with them either. They spent a few months with him at the most, and decided that he wasn’t enough for them. That his personality lacked, or that he was too quiet and introverted. It wasn’t his fault that he liked to keep to himself. He was a reserved man, but if you got to know him, he would love you better than anyone else ever could. And it seemed like Atti was going to be on the receiving end of all that love - more like he already was on the receiving end of all that love.
He didn’t even register that Atticus was talking to him until he said something about loving someone. What? He pulled away slightly, looking at the back of his head. He didn’t say that out loud.. He had thought it. Realization began dawning on the older’s face, and he nodded once. Maybe this is where the headache was coming from? This is why he’d been suffering so much with a major migraine. It was his gift. His gift was finally making itself known. Without parting his lips, he thought, Atticus, can you hear me?
