Arthur & Bill argue over Dutch. Bill then asks who the rat is - he thinks it's John. However, think of it - Bill is extremely jealous of John. He has at least 3 conversations about being jealous, including his drunk conversation with Javier, Drunk talk with John, and is even jealous of John's scars! He also complains about it in RDR 1. It's interesting that he automatically assumes it's John. I love that Javier doesn't straight-up believe it. It says a lot about his character and friendship, and loyalty to John here.
