As I write this script for this video it is 12/4/2016 and we are just 12 days away from Rogue One a Star Wars Story and we have no idea how this film is going go. I mean ultimately we do know that the rebels do get away with the death star plans. But HOW is the question. I just watched a tv spot for rogue one and I realized watching that trailer that we are getting more of the story between Gailen and Jyn Erso. And I cant wait to finish catalyst.
The burning question for me, and ill assume by most star wars fans, that most of these characters will die before the end credits hit the big screen. But here is a way for the film to not end a sad note…however these characters will die…hear me out.
Just because there is hope for a happy ending doesn’t mean that the rebels will get off scott free. Here is how you do this….In the first half of a new hope, leigh is being interrogated by vader about the location of the secret rebel base, but she refuses to give up the rebels secret hiding place. He gets angry and decides to test the super weapon on her home planet of Alderan. Now here is what we know and how this COULD fit in
. Im not saying it will but just that it could. We know Bail Organa, Leighs adopted father is going to be in Rogue One, and we know that they destroy Alderan. If for some reason the reberls are sent to Alderan at the end of rogue one, then this achieves two goals. ONE, you get a happy ending for the rebels and when you go back and watch a new hope, you will get more out of that scene knowing that all of the characters you knew and loved are now dead.
