“Way ahead of you.” Cameo plops onto the ground and starts speaking in a tone reminiscent of a parent imparting wisdom onto their child. “Love doesn’t just blind you to the pain of life. It also blinds you to the wisdom of lives past. Especially during youth."

“But Dio has been being very kind to me.” Confusion formed as she tilted her head go the side. “I don’t understand… How am I being played for a fool?

Judgement just crossed it’s arms and floated in silence as Cameo, remaining hidden, processed what Maxson just said to him. Dio Brando may be very courtly but he’s never heard him called ‘kind’ before. Judgement breaks it’s own silence by saying. “…You would understand if Dio hired you to off someone.”

“He what?” Softness was exchanges for harsh, yet somehow motherly, tones. There were many things she wouldn’t allow and this, the threatening or harming of a friend, was one of them. “I’ll go talk to him. I’ll deal with this.” A smile was given to him, faked to avoid making him worry.

Judgement floats there for a moment, nodding in compliance, but then Cameo feels awash with resolve and Judgement suddenly surges with energy and flies quickly to her side. “Not on my watch. I won’t let you get yourself killed!”

Maxson had never really seen the speed of the stand known as Judgement. She had always assumed it to be similar to her own. A startled squeak left her as one of her boots left the ground in a wobbling motion. “Ah!” Righting herself, the female spoke. “I’ll be okay, I promise. If push comes to shove, I can run.”

Judgement’s metallic body was shaking with energy before it suddenly dropped it’s feet to the ground and stood it’s full height. It’s energy faded as it spoke. “Running isn’t an option when it comes to a man like that, but if you perish, I swear to you, I will not rest until I bring you back to life and kill Dio.” This feeling, Courage, was unknown to Cameo, yet he was bursting with it.

Surprisingly, Maxson wasn’t startled by how small she was compared to him. She may be the normal height for her age, but most people were still taller. “There has to be something. I can’t just let him get away with that!” Determination, an emotion that wasn’t new to her, shone in her tones. “I doubt Dio will kill me, but if he doesn’t, we can’t risk going after him.”

“Maybe, but I darn sure wont sit by and let him keep going if he hurts you.” Cameo was resigned to allowing Ms. Caverello to go after Dio, though it hurt him to let her go. His Judgement vanished to dust, as it said “Be careful.”
