Fancast for LGBTQ X-men characters
1. Northstar - Cody Fern
Reasons: Cody is queer and has this sort of otherworldly appearance that would suit Jean Paul perfectly. Check him out in America Horror Story, The Foundation, and American Crime Story (Season 2). I originally was thinking Finn Whitlock due to his elf like features but I really think Marvel’s first gay superhero should be played by a lgbtq actor !
2. Rachel Summers - Evan Rachel Wood
Reasons: Evan is bisexual and has been through a lot in her life. I feel like she’d bring a lot of depth to the character of Rachel! Check her out in Thirteen.
3. Iceman - Brandon Flynn
Reasons: Brandon is openly gay and plays young and sorta naive very well. He can be tragic or fun ! A new kid on the block. Best known for 13 Reasons Why.
4. Karma - Stephanie Hsu
Reasons: Stephanie is queer and her family went through turmoil in China and later settled in Taiwan. She is not Vietnamese like Karma, but she is an excellent Asian American actress known best for Everything Everywhere All At Once. I think she’d do Karma justice.
5. Kate Pryde - Allison Brie
Reasons: Allison would play an older and wiser Kate. Alison is bisexual and Jewish much like Kate. She is fantastic in GLOW, Mad Men, and Community.
Others:
Pixie - Jasika Nicole (she’s very pixie like herself!)
Anole - Justice Smith (a queer actor who’s no stranger to franchises)
Jessie Drake - Hunter Schafer (I just really like Hunter)
Alison Brie as Kitty. The way my jaw just hit the floor.
