The (First) Annual State of the Mayall Address [24/09/2014]
A brief discussion of my blog and what the future holds for it.
There has been a reason for the inactivity of my channel over the past couple of weeks. The first post I ever did on this blog was last year on September 17th, the premier episode of Bottom. I wanted to wait until Rik's final television appearance on Crackanory finally aired to briefly discuss my experiences managing this blog for just over a year now and what the future holds.
Some of the most important events and experiences that strongly impacted my personal life throughout 2014 were directly due to running the Daily Mayall and conversing with several of my followers. A particular thanks to anarchicyellowdungarees and oblivioustoast for their contributions to my blog looking as presentable as it does. I'm hoping to refurbish and freshen up the page on a later date so if anyone else is willing to contribute, please message me.
The first thing I will be doing is scouring through my blog and replenishing any old links/videos that have disappeared off the internet over time. Secondly, I will continue this blog, probably through creating GIFs of the various episodes/television appearances containing Rik for the respective date they aired. I dislike the idea of repeating posts so I may skip out on posting any written interviews and articles involving Rik [the majority of which have been helpfully archived here]. Finally, I want to expand what I do on Tumblr so I'll be dedicating efforts on another blog which will (mostly) not be related to Rik.
Here's to 2014/5, you complete and utter bastards.
