it’s been a minute...

the past couple of weeks my mental health has gone down the drain, with the pressures of college as well as incidents that occurred that were out of my hand.

i cried in front of T today. it hurt. i couldn’t even look towards him, i had to face my entire body away. i kept telling him that i was sorry and he kept reassuring me that it was okay. in that moment he seemed so wise and gentle. and in hindsight, i’m so grateful that he was there for me.

today i was having issues with the class printer. it hates me for some reason >:(

i asked T for help and he magically fixed it??? no idea? but he was like “let a MAN like me handle it”

it was all a dream...

i dreamt about T last night.

so some background, he’s my teacher for my news writing class and every april there’s an awards ceremony in the city for each school to come together and get awarded for their stories/designs/photos/etc. from the school year. for some reason in my dream my class decided to get hotel rooms in the city for that occasion.

T was coming around doing room checks before lights out and it was just me and three of my friends hanging on the pull out couch. we made some small talk and then my friend and i talked about an upcoming concert. T turned around,

“oh _____? [cant remember the band’s name bc it was entirely fictional] nice!”

my friend responds, “i’d love to go, but i don’t know if i can...” i looked at her sorta pouting, but i felt T looking at me.

“hey L, were you planning on going?”

i nodded and tried to not stare so hard at him

“well if you are, i can take you.” i remember seeing him smirk and walk out the room; and that’s where the dream ended.

they say that dreams represent your innermost desires. i do want him obviously! and i’ve been itching to go to a concert lately!! and about the imaginary band i dreamt about. i vividly remember their logo being simply of a large red circle which people would wear on shirts, paint on their face, etc. of course i did some dream analyzing and a full red circle could symbolize “complete sexual passion” sooooo 😳 if he could do that for me that’d be greaaaaat

Suddenly, someone pointed you the opposite direction. Immediately, you knew it was go time. Without delay, you dropped everything and started the band. I sat there with your phone, now in my lap, clapping along.

I looked at you, down at your phone, and back up at you. I really felt like I play a big part in your life. The urge to smile flowed through me, smooth and natural. I suddenly admired everything about you. Your trust in me. How clean your phone always is. Your quick wit. Your ability and drive to do exactly what you're supposed to. The way you make your job look easy (I know it's not, you're always telling me). Your constant oversharing with me. How beautiful you looked the whole time. Your everlasting charm. You really are an amazing human, woman, teacher, band director, therapist, confidant, and friend. I can't wait to know more about you.

I know you'll never see this, and I know you'll never say it back with the same meaning I say it with, but I just wanted to let you know,
