Hey someone PLEASE explain what playersexual means before I have a stroke and die
āplayersexual,ā despite sounding like a completely awful, horrible word, means NPCs can be attracted to whatever the character assigns as their gender.Ā
oh thank god. i thought they were attracted to the player
ććć : Three Uses!
ććć is a piece of grammar that you will find littered in N2 material. This can be confusing sometimes as youāre about to see, but hang in there and weāll get through this!
Verb stem +Ā ććć meansĀ ācannot deal withā / ć§ććŖć . This is when something is difficult or impossible to do.
ć客ę§ć®åäŗŗę å ±ćÆćęćććć¾ćć

Verb stem + ćććŖć meansĀ ācouldā/ćććććŖć .Used when something that the speakers evaluates as negative might occur.

ļ½ćććć For this last version pay attention that the particle ć will precede the verb, also written as å ¼ćć with its kanji. This is used to express that one thing serves as two or more functions simultaneously.Ā

I know with ććć and ćććŖć itās very hard to remember which is which because one means ć§ććŖć and the other means ćććććŖć . The trick I have when I canāt remember isnāt necessarily a great one, but it works for me.
If you line up ććć and its meaning ć§ććŖć like I did, there is one extra letterĀ ć that doesnāt line up. Using that extra letter I then remember it as,Ā āI ( ć) canāt do it.ā Again, is this a dumb method? Yes. Does it work if you are doing a test/practice test/practice questions and you canāt for the life of you remember which one is which? Also yes.Ā
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions!

As someone with multiple bilingual friends where English is not the first language, may I present to you a list of actual incidents I have witnessed:
Forgot a word in Spanish, while speaking Spanish to me, but remembered it in English. Became weirdly quiet as they seemed to lose their entire sense of identity.
Used a literal translation of a Russian idiomatic expression while speaking English. He actually does this quite regularly, because he somehow genuinely forgets which idioms belong to which language. It usually takes a minute of everyone staring at him in confused silence before he saysĀ āā¦.Ahā¦.. that must be a Russian one thenā¦.ā
Had to count backwards for something. Could not count backwards in English. Counted backwards in French under her breath until she got to the number she needed, and then translated it into English.
Meant to inform her (French) parents that bread in America is baked with a lot of preservatives. Her brain was still halfway in English Mode so she used the wordĀ āprĆ©servatifes.ā Ended up shocking her parents with the knowledge that apparently, bread in America is full of condoms.
Defined a slang term for meā¦ā¦. with another slang term. In the same language. Which I do not speak.
Was talking to both me and his mother in English when his mother had to revert to Russian to ask him a question about a word. He saidĀ āI donāt knowā and turned to me and askedĀ āIs there an English equivalent forĀ ŠŃŠ¼ŠøŠ·Š¼Š°ŃŠøŃŠµŃŠŗŠøŠ¹?ā and it took him a solid minute to realize there was no way I would be able to answer that. Meanwhile his mom quietly chuckled behind his back.
Said an expression in English but with Spanish grammar, which turnedĀ āHow stressful!ā intoĀ āWhat stressing!ā
Bilingual characters are great but if youāre going to use a linguistic blunder, you have to really understand what they actually blunder over. And itās usually 10x funnier thanĀ āOoops itās hard to switch back.ā

@people who refuse to tag their 4th of July posts
Hello! My nameās Laura and iām Lakota Sioux!
My family and I abstain from celebrating 4th of July every year because weāve literally had our lands taken from us, our people brutally slaughtered and our traditions erased by the white people who broughtĀ āindependenceā to this country, and we see it as a big middle finger to Native American people. Naturally, as such, I donāt enjoy seeing posts about this holiday. They physically make me upset, and more often than not iāll see my mother cry because of peopleās blatant disregard for our struggles.Ā
People tell me to shut up and not ruin their fun every year. People tell me to not be so preachy. People tell me relax. No matter how many times I try and explain that theirĀ āFREEDOM FUCK YEAHā posts only apply to those of light skin, people still ignore us.Ā
I understand that you guys want to just have a good time, and donāt let me stop you, but please have some regard for us today. Please keep the people whoās entire existence was tarnished to make this day a thing in your minds and hearts when youāre eating apple pie and setting off fireworks.
Please just listen to us for once.
Reblog this for me, please. I want this to be heard.
Independence day is about the colonies cutting ties with England. Itās not about you guys. When the white people from Europe settled, they pushed the natives over into other spaces and sent them with all the new diseases (like smallpox) that we brought on the boats.Ā
The slaying and moving of the natives? That came way after. For you specifically, that came in 1912, 200 years after independence day. I understand that it was the beginning of the end, but the 4th of July has nothing to do with colonization and destroying the natives.Ā
-
And you know what? Iāve met you in person Laura. Youāre white. Your mom is white. Everyone I met while I met you in Michigan? white. Your heart is in the right place or whatever but I canāt stand seeing your posts about being ānativeā on my dash. You might speak some of a native language but thatās probably because you pride yourself in learning 30 some languages.Ā
When I got on a plane to meet you, youād told me your mom was Swedish. Your mom was Swedish and your Dad was German. You told me she had a HEAVY SWEDISH ACCENT. And when I got there, I wasnāt disapointed. I understand the being nervous and making shit up to seem cool. Lying isnāt fun for me anymore. Grow up.
Holy shit, thatās a plot twist I didnāt see coming.
This is Tumblr, that was a plot twist I totally saw coming.
ITāS BACK
bring this post back every independence day
Iām part Paiute. My people were driven to reservations in the ass end of the desert. We still celebrate the 4th of July.

>No matter how many times I try and explain that their āFREEDOM FUCK YEAHā posts only apply to those of light skin
Cause there are no non-white Americans besides the Natives, apparently.
This is my favourite 4th of July post.
Happy 4th you guys ššš»šŗšøš¦šš»š„šššš

This is a beauty.
Iām Wyandot and every native I know still celebrated the 4th of july (actually every native I know is also a conservative or at least not a liberal so hmmm makes u think)
