Hey, I don’t know who needs to hear this but I know we would be one of these people who needs to hear this.

You aren’t a bad person if you can’t finish your food. It is okay to trash what you can’t finish. It isn’t wasting your food. I promise.

Our father always tells us it's a waste of money when we can't finish our food and throw it away early. This causes us to try and stuff ourselves beyond full and bear the pain of it just to avoid that scolding. We don't like refrigerating food and then reheating it later on. Something always tells us it's bad to eat after that.

We used to get told that as well but I promise it isn’t bad if you can’t finish it. Our own parents are more lenient on this but I promise it is okay if you can’t finish it. I remember being mindblown the first time I got something I didn’t like and Mum went “yeah it’s fine if you don’t like it don’t force yourself to finish it you can trash it.” And I was like huh???

Huge shoutout to the kid who directly asked them to not make the BAHs. They shouldn't have been the one to do it, but it was very brave of them. If I had know it was that simple, I'd have done it myself — that pressure shouldn't have been on a 14 year old who's been getting so much harassment lately.

As one of the adults in this community, I do think we do need to step up a little more to protect the minors here. We're all traumatised people, and if we can protect the younger ones from going through anymore than they already have, then that's a win for our community.

Going through old ibis paint images to find some older logs that are missing from pluralkit for our alter logs (mostly trying to figure out the panda’s name and the teddy bear’s name from our OC thing of Five Nights at Starcry’s Galaxy Restaurant) and I found this.
