Hi!!! Thank you for this blog! :D I think boys will be boys even if they are busy so I think Daiya boys actually have crushes in their school or not crush but they are attracted to this one girl that they think is really cute! Maybe someone from other class or from their class so can I request a little scenario for Miyuki, Mei, Eijun and Kuramochi being confessed at by their crush? Who will accept and who will reject? thank you!
thank you for this request and i hope you enjoy this! // for safe of this ask this turned into a reader insert (these turned out to be way longer than expected o geez) ((sorry these are cheesy its really late for me))
Eijun was loud, obnoxious and stubborn. He had quirks that would make a list that would go miles long. He never came to class prepared and often worked on any due assignments on the wee time he could before class began. You sat behind him, often having the job of poking his back with your pencil just so he would wake up, or softly calling his name until he stopped his daydreaming and started paying attention to the class.Â
He often asked for you to be a like tutor for him, helping him come up with study habits for upcoming tests and quizzes, or trying to stay up till the wee hours just to drill new equations and techniques into his brain, causing extra work for you. Yâknow, when he actually showed up. He would often ditch your study sessions, completely unintentional of course. He would be so tired from school that he often slept through your meeting time, or would have to prioritize practice and sheepishly apologize to you once he saw you again, prompting for a rain check.
As hard to deal with as Eijun was, it didnât bother you. You loved getting the chances to talk to him, him taking your advice into account when it came to overworking himself. On numerous occasions you had made him small -and healthy of course- snacks that he could indulge himself in throughout the days. Leaving them on his desk in class, sneaking them into his pack for him to find later and even rarely, leaving them with his assistant coach, Takashima-sensei. This action causing you to later hear about Eijunâs embarrassment when she would later produce the item to him just before practice. Oh how the team loved to tease.
You couldnât say that you were in love with Sawamura, but you sure did have a major crush on him, thus why you had no problems going out of your way to do so much for the poor boy.Â
It was after class, Sawamura had  practice soon and had to go back to his room to change and get ready, you offered to walk with him to which he had no objections. The two of you walked side by side, your hands clasped together behind your back, Sawamura walked with his hands in his pockets and his head tilted up to the sky, your shoulders just barely brushing against each other. The action made you smile. As you turned a corner and crossed under the large sign for the dorm, some of his teammates lingered outside, moving within rooms and heading out presumably to practice. A few of them had given you sparing looks as you walked passed them, Sawamura leading the way to his room.Â
He grabbed onto the handle and continued to move in, that was where you stopped him, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder to get his attention, waiting until he looked at you before you began to speak up.
âUmâŚSawamura-kun?â You pulled your hand away and took a glance to the ground and fiddled with your thumbs before looking back up to him, your eyes meeting his bright ones as he waited.
âI like you, Sawamura.â You spoke out bluntly, keeping eye contact with a stunned Eijun, you swore you heard a cough from somewhere behind you.Â
âI like you too y/n.â
ââŚWhat?â You asked, this was now your turn to be taken aback.Â
âYeah, I mean sure. Youâre cute, and youâre always helping me with trivial things and doing things that nobody else would do for me. Whatâs not to like?â
The blush was ever rising on your face as Eijun tilted his head and gave you a heartwarming smile. He leaned in and messed up your hair just slightly and gave you a short and quick kiss on your cheek before turning on his heals and thanking you for walking with him, announcing that he would give you a call later before leaving you with a wink as he shut the door behind him.Â
You had known Mei for a long time, far too long if you could say anything about it. You both lived close to each other for the majority of your childhood (until Mei moved into the school dorms) and more often than not were subjected to the same classes year after year. Mei had often joked that you were in love with him so much that you rigged the system just so you could be around him more. (that was totally not the case.)
To make matters worse, you were the manager of the Inashiro baseball team, which prompted more teasing from Mei which allowed his ego to just grow and grow, much to everyoneâs dismay. You fought with Mei more often than not, but neither of you could stay angry at the other for long (especially regarding your history)
The team had to get ready for a line of games that were coming up soon, within the next week if you remembered correctly, causing everyone to be working much harder, pushing themselves way past any point that you deemed okay. There had been times where you had to pull members out and force them to take a break before they were to injure themselves. At least enough time for them to drink some fluids and maybe eat something. Most of them just said that you were worrying too much, claiming they would be fine.
You had yet to pull Mei out yet, which was surprising. He paced himself enough to what his body could take. Stopping to take proper breaks, drinking enough fluids and being mindful of how long he stayed out on the field, be it by himself or not.Â
You met up with him as he was walked back to the dugout, the sun setting slowly, creating a dark shadow behind his own figure. You sat down the basket of collected baseballs and picked up a clean towel and filled a cup up with fresh, cool water before handing them both over to the ace. He thanked you softly, quickly chugging down the drink and tossing the plastic cup into a nearby trash can. His adams apple bobbed harshly as he drank, his head tilted back to where you could see every bead of sweat that ran across his face.
He wiped his mouth with his sleeve and then rubbed at his face with the towel you gave him, shooting you a quick smile and then throwing it behind his neck and patting up the sweat there. He took a seat on an empty part of the bench, hunching forward, his arms resting on his knees as he looked out to the field. You took a quick glance around yourself before sitting down next to him, minding your distance.Â
âYou know itâs not all jokes.â You started, not yet earning the blonde haired boys attention.
âOf course nobody wants your ego to grow anymore than it already isâŚbut-â You started up again, leaving a short laugh at the end, this time Mei responded with a small laugh of his own, it was hard to hear and only lasted for a second. Almost as though he had just breathed a smidgen too hard in that moment. He turned to face you, his arms by his side and the sound of the dirt being kicked by his cleats sounded in the air. His blue eyes locked with your own, sending a chill down your spine as your throat suddenly became too dry.
âDonât, y/n.â You furrowed your eyebrows at his words, not completely understanding him at first, you move to open your mouth and speak again but he beats you to it, holding up his hand to stop you.
âYou know what Iâm talking about. Thereâs just too much going on right now, it wouldnât be fair to either of us if you finished that sentience.â He turned away from you and pushed himself off the bench, taking off the rag and sitting aside, mumbling a small âthanksâ that you wouldnât have heard otherwise as he jogged back to the field, taking the spot right on the mound.
You had never felt more cold than you did in that moment.
It had been less than a week since you had confessed to Miyuki, and it had been less than a week since he reject you.Â
Well it wasnât necessarily a rejection, he just said he didnât want to date you. âIâm not looking for a relationship right now.â is what he had really said. But thatâs the same thing right?Â
You had thought things would have been more awkward than what they turned out to be. You expected for Miyuki to be avoiding you, not talking to you or something. You expected strange tension and quickly looking away from each other and acting as though the whole ordeal had never happened. But of course nothing was as expected when it came to Miyuki.
If he had caught you looking at him, he would smile and give you a wave, he would talk to you in the hallways when he saw you you. It was almost as though you were getting closer even after the rejection, and it irked you to high heavens. You had even caught him boasting about it during lunch break with his baseball buddies:Â âYeah, y/n confessed to me!â He had stated proudly with a wide smirk breaking across his face. Whoops and hollers were exchanged at the table, you even caught sight of someone giving him a clap on the back.Â
He had quited the commotion by stating that however he did turn you down, saying it as though it was nothing just made your hands ball at your side and your blood to boil even more than it already was. Honestly, you had half a mind to walk over there and say a few words to that boy (it was probably what he wanted, and you knew it would just embarrass yourself more than you already were.)
You were on cleanup duty in your class room, you packed up your things slowly and stood up as the rest of the students busied themselves with leaving as fast as they could. You left your bag on your desk and went up to the teachers desk, speaking to them for a few moments and taking in good instructions for what they would have liked for you to do to the room, small things.
You took in the instructions polity and sent them away with a small wave, leaving the room a little later to get things from the supply closet just at the end of the hall, you kicked at the floor and cursed at your classmate who was supposed to be on cleaning duty with you, they hadnât even come to school today so you were left with all of the work, not that you would complain.
You rummaged through the closet, pulling on a chain to turn on the overhead light and then began rummaging through shelves for bags and rags and other things that would fit the profile of what your teacher had asked of you. You had folded some of the items up under your arms, taking another look around and when you deemed yourself good to go, you reached over your head and turned off the light. Shutting the door behind you and walked back to class.
You didnât make it too far because just as you turned around to start your walk, you collided with a hard surface, pushing you down to the ground and dropping all of the cleaning supplies.Â
You winced internally as the sharp pain to your lower back and rear, reaching behind yourself and rubbing at the sensitive area. You took a glance above you once you heard an all too familiar laugh, you squinted your eyes and huffed under your breath, brushing off the hand that offered to help you.Â
Miyuki laughed once again, holding his hands up in a defeat position and backing away, be had crouched down to help you pick up the dropped items but you brushed him off once again.
âI can take care of this myself.â
âOho? Well now youâre just being mean, y/n-chan.â The way your name slid out of his mouth so easily made your hairs stand on end, he really knew how to push your buttons. You stood up as best you could with your arms full, watching yourself so you didnât drop something again.
You walked passed him with your head facing forward and your back straight, your shoulders accidentally brushed as you passed him and you could have sworn you heard him speak.
âYouâre so fun to tease.â
âPlease go out with me, Kuramochi-kun!â
It was no secret that Kuramochi liked you, everyone knew it, even if Kuramochi believed he was good at hiding it. What was a secret was that you liked him, if you really did like him. Of course you would never use Kuramochi like that, you werenât that type of person. You had just never really thought about dating anyone, much less Kuramochi who was a loud and childish boy who you had come to know as being a phenomenal player on your schoolâs baseball team, no matter how many times he tried to deny it.
(No really, you tried to talk about it once and he flat out denied it, as though it was nothing to be getting praised for. Truly baffles you.)Â
You had spoken with him enough times to be comfortable around one another, enough to where you had gotten used to his loud mouth antics that once left you cringing to now left you in giggles with heated faces. Kuramochi was surprisingly easy to talk to, he made your days at school more easy to enjoy when you knew he would be there.
You knew that the two of you were becoming rather close, but you handât known what to do with that information, was Kuramochi really your type? What was your type? Did you even have a type up until now?
Would you really invest yourself into a relationship or would it be too dull. Everyday you worked these thoughts through your head and each day you became more lenient to the idea. A partner was somebody you were supposed to get along well with. Check. Somebody you could talk to no matter the time or topic. Check. Somebody who was fun to be around and you easily make you smile. Check.
Well damn, looks like you might really like Kuramochi. Now you really had to do something about it.
You could always wait for Kuramochi to say something but who knows how long that would take. You sighed internally and rubbed at your forehead, feelings were gross. You thought about easing into it, hanging out more. (More than you already do?) Maybe dropping hints. (But would he really get that?) You didnât want to do anything that would make other assume you were already in a relationship, that would be rushing it and would probably scare Kuramochi off.
You walked across the field, digging your shoes into the ground and pacing in small circles until you heard a voice from behind you, calling out your name in small pants. You turned around and were met with your current problem. Kuramochi rubbed at the slight sweat that gathered on his forehead, you had assumed he was on his mid afternoon jog, which you were currently interrupting.Â
Well, now that he was here, might as well just get out with it, hm.
And that was how you ended up with a stunned Kuramochi, stumbling over his own words as you explained your whole story to him. Laughing in the end when he still couldnât process it all. You rolled your eyes fondly and walked up to him, both hands on his flushed cheeks as you looked his face over.
âI like you too, idiot.â
âOhâŚthen, yes, I would like that.â Kuramochi finally mumbled out, breaking eye contact with you as his cheeks grew redder by the second.
