He must have looked different in some way as he approached Corlys for the man hesitated to come closer. "Now, I have dreamt of a Crown. The only crown worth having."

The princess and the queen in the Blacks and the Greens by Sweetestpopcorn

Been wondering what it looks like to have a noble Kingslanding hairstyle, which Alicent and her ladies seem to love (and Rhaebabe seems to hate). XD I first thought it would be something like the Tudor headpieces or other more medieval designs.

But it turns out that popcorn babe was talking about the hairstyle Cersei wore in GOT season 1! :O

I can see why Rhaenyra hates this hairstyle so much now :|

Family Portrait - an Aegon II Targaryen fic

No pairing, Aegon- centric fic

Strong anti-Rhaenyra, anti Jace and Luke thoughts because Aegon doesn't really like them to put it mildly.

Hello! This is my first fic for this fandom as well as my first Aegon-centric fic. It's very angsty. This is my interpretation of Aegon and his feelings during the dinner and in general, based on the show only. I've based the fic on the dinner scene because it felt like such a poignant moment for all of the Targaryens, and I chose Aegon as my POV because I've kind gotten obsessed with this tortured idiot whose actions are repulsive at times, yet whose character has way more depth than they managed to depict on the show. I hope I did him justice.

Excerpt: Leave it to his father to praise his golden heir’s bastards as if they had done anything praiseworthy except for being born by the one child he does seem to love and care for.

Aegon’s thoughts flee to the mock trial from earlier when this man - his father, the walking corpse that he is – dragged his rotting bones and flesh all the way from his kingly chambers to the throne room and allowed the entire court to ‘see him as he is’ – a decaying, pitiful sight for a King – to defend the Realm’s Delight; his darling daughter who can’t ever do wrong; the one he was willing to humiliate himself for, for whom he was even willing to die defending because Aegon knows, his father is hanging onto life as a spider does to a web – only until someone comes and, mercifully or cruelly, cuts it.
