Dal grinned, watching the male try to defend his status of not being so soft before eventually relenting. “Its not a bad thing mags.” Lord knew he was anything but harmless when it came to a fight. “You know I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fury fly before, that’s definitely one for the bucket list.” She could only imagine what it must’ve been like to witness, and suddenly.. dal had the epiphany that she hadn’t actually gone out on a fly in a while.
It was pretty dangerous to do it in the city after all, she hadn’t even tried for worry of being seen .
When he knew the ice dragons name, dal wasn’t shocked. After all their community was tight knit. “Thats right,” Her eyebrows rose curiously. “A lot huh?” She teased with a light smile. “Well, all the same..she seems like a sweet person, and I rather enjoyed her company.” Dal listened to him ramble, curious over the prospect of a forest dweller living in their city, “I think most of us have lost people. So find other like us is sort of like having extended family.”
The female smiled weakly and glanced to the side. “I’d assume so, I don’t have much memory of it, I was young when mother moved me.” At the guess she nodded, “They’d figured out that our volcano was a popular nesting sight, and..” she trailed off not really wanting to detail her father’s demise. She hadn’t known him, but out of respect for her mother’s feelings dal had never brought it up. “ Well I’m sure you can fill in the blanks.” Folding her arms the dragoness looked his way.
Focusing on his nest sight, dals smile returned and she couldn’t help but picture a young fury flopping out of his nest over and over while chasing seagulls..it coined a bit of laughter from her. “I bet you were adorable.” Then again, all baby dragons were, “do you ever miss it?”
At his food preference dal nodded taking mental notes, “You’ve got that right, the only reason I was able to stay sane at the party at the beginning was the food.” Looking up to one of the trees, her eyelids lowered. It was quite pretty.
“No, it’s not a bad thing, I agree…I am just not used to flexing this side of myself for others. I seem to be doing it more frequently, so it’s been quite the adjustment” He mused. “Well, you can always see it, you just have to ask and it will need to be a day that we can both get out of the city to do so….Since I need a lot of space when I’m flying around” He explained softly, keeping his voice down in case other people were listening.
“Yeah, I have made sure to be involved within the dragon community as I know that Feldrurth wants to set up a nest for us all, so that we no longer have to suffer alone away from others. She is one of the ones that I got to know, I hope you can get to know her more too” He murmured. The male sighed softly and gave a nod, it had happened to some of his siblings, they’d been harpooned and attacked by fisherman and it had been the end. “I can, I know a similar pain…” He said gently.
“I had eyes that were way too big for my head and drove my mother insane from how often I fell out of the nest. I miss it at times. But I also like the safety of the city at times, even with hunters. At least food isn’t hard to catch here. The only thing that I truly miss is seeing others like myself and….I suppose the open space. Do you miss the volcano?”
“The food is the only good thing at these events, though its always a battle against other dragons to get what you want”
