dalchilhyeon:
Hyeon noticed the smile he once had soon turned into a small frown. She couldn’t hide nothing from him no matter how hard she tries, Siwan can read her like a book no matter how hard she tries to hide it.
Knowing that as soon as he walked into the main hall father would ask about his journey and mother would start babying him up like she always does whenever he comes back from his trips while she just look and laughs at his misery of the questions their parents going to asked him.
Hyeon was always known as the forgotten child in the family, while Siwan was a general and is soon to be married to the princess, she was the quiet one in the family. Their parents were always proud of him and at some point would only talk about him and his great battle and would forget about Hyeon and her other brother sometimes. Sometimes….she wondered if they ever forget about her sometimes. Placing the container inside the box with the others before picking up his welcome back gift. “Here you go I made this for you while you was away.”
“You know how father gets when you come back from your trips and battles, and mother has been worried sick when you left 3 months ago so of course, she’s going to baby you. At least it’s not me this time while you was gone she made me try on many different hanboks so it’s your time so have fun.” A grin form on her lips, taking a soft grip onto his sleeves. “I knew you love hanging out with, hush now Wan. now that I think about it, you did promise to take me to the capital when you came back.”
Glaring back at him, a smirk soon appeared on her face. Hitting him on his shoulder softly, “I don’t know, maybe I should try out my older brother gift instead of going into the main hall with him, but then again…you always find a way out of their regardless. Now come before they come and find us themselves, Wan you can meet up with them when we came back from the capital.”
That’s was the only way she would go out. If she had Siwan with her, remembering the very first time she went without didn’t go pretty well, in fact, it was horrible and this is the only time they’ll be alone for a while.
Perhaps, sometimes siwan does spoil his little sister a tad too much. However, for someone as precious as she is to him, he is willing to go that far. The streets is sporadically littered with people, vendors selling their wares and the hidden beggars in the side streets.
He remembered a time when he walked this streets, nose pointed upwards. A time when he considered himself above the common people. How foolish he was once, he chuckled internally. Walking beside Hyeon, he allowed her to browse the wares around, willing to purchase anything that caught her fancy.
Granted, from time to time, there will be people coming up to him to greet him. Some thanking him for his service, some in awe of his presence and many others grateful for his deeds to the people.
Siwan’s attention while focused on his sister, also scattered over the crowd from time to time. His sister admittedly, even if he’d die before he admits to others, is beautiful. Eyes that lingered too long was met with a polite smile from him. The same smile he gives during training, that makes seasoned soldiers scream in fear.
“Do you see anything you fancy?” He asked, when he noticed her lingering much longer at a stall. He stall was ran by a young male, who seemed to currently be starstruck by Hyeon. Siwan’s hand moved to the hilt of his sword, the corner of his lips twitching upwards.
