gradually leading her as they taken a few steps prior to her statement, which left him to be slightly taken aback by it. as he heard of stories before regarding the newly weds, still, it was unlikely for him to be sticking his nose in other people’s affairs. it’ll work out, eventually. somehow. “my dear, you’ve had a lot to drink. you have to be considerate of him, as he must be perpetually exhausted from today,”
she knew she was not following the strict social codes of society by drowning herself in the liquor provided, but a gift was a gift, and she would never deny such a precious thing. thus, she had ended up in a rather rarely witnessed state of disorder; voice loud and stature slouched. she was only so lucky as to be accompanied by her husband, not only because he could ensure that she would do no harm to those around her, but any other man would have looked at her in this drunken state with disdain.
with her hand still encased in his larger one, the lady pulls her husband along as she struggles to remember the way in which they had come in –– when had there been so many hallways? – though her uneasiness is hidden from her features. instead, her visage displays a woman of confidence, someone who knows where they’re going as if it were a path she had ventured time and time again. every few steps brings a quick turn of her head, as if to make sure that the man were still trailing behind her (although, their hands were still clasped together), a smile greeting him at every look. there was nothing she would not do to make taejun happy.
it never failed to leave her conscience that she was lucky – oh so very lucky – to have been matched with taejun. especially with her various quirks and oddities, finding someone who accepted every piece of her and never made her feel like a nuisance, rather than someone who would belittle her every issue, was nothing more than luck. there was never a moment in which she didn’t appreciate him, and the love she felt for him seemed to amplify with the alcohol she had consumed. enough so that there was temptation to land several sloppy kisses against his skin as if to remind him of her overwhelming love; thankfully, she’s able to hold back.
“we should marry again! if not to relive those memories...” a rather absurd suggestion, but one that the intoxicated lady believes to be clever. the idea of planning another happy day to celebrate the union of the couple is one that brings her great gaiety, proven by the almost tranquil smile upon her lips. if anything, she’s sure they could spend a day together and relive it themselves –– even that, without the large celebrations, would be enough to satiate the lady’s wants.
in most cases (sober cases), hayeon would not be speaking so openly about another pairing. however, not only was the groom someone she held very close to her heart, but the general atmosphere of the night was something that only seemed to signify loss and sadness. not the proper mood for a wedding. “i hope so... i hope everyone’s love is as great as ours... maybe we should teach them how to love one another!”
