I don’t think anyone knows for sure, but he did try out for the Cheerios last year, so there’s that. Of course, he stopped midway through his audition to eat Cheetos ‘cause he got the munchies. Pretty sure I saw smoke coming outta Coach’s ears. Oh. Ohio’s very own Welton Academy.

I am so glad to finally be at home and laying in bed even though I have no intention of sleeping any time soon like a proper lazy American. Praise be, I’ve successfully managed to avoid the sun all day– my future wrinkles or lack thereof will thank me– though I did get a few odd looks for walking outside with an umbrella in sunny weather. Lucky me, odd looks are tame, I’ll continue on with my mobile shade, thank you.

And let’s not forget the importance of a good SPF! I don’t see what’s wrong with trying to protect your skin the best you can, especially when your skin is a little more sensitive to sunlight. I never understood why it’s frowned upon to protect yourself from the sun. But that might just be because my mom has always been very persistent about it, as she works in the cosmetics industry. But hey, enjoy your lazy American time! I think we all need it every now and then.

The music, the group, the accents- the Italian language in general! Most people I know are obsessed with I Wanna Be Your Slave, but personally, I can’t get enough of Vent’anni.

They really are the whole package, aren’t they? Really? That’s my favourite as well! Torna A Casa is a close second. I Wanna Be Your Slave is a great song too, but I think I prefer their Italian songs. And it also just depends on what kind of mood I’m in.

Taking summer classes sounds like a nightmare, to be honest. I mean, maybe one or two would be fun, but nothing more than that. It’s so important to take some time to just relax and focus on other things. Was it your own choice to take those classes?

Not to get all complain-y up in here, but the hoppy dope-fiend that sleeps on a bench outside the dorms friend requested me on Instagram from five different accounts. You drunkenly agree to make hobo stoves with someone - once, and they think it’s okay to go all Joe Goldberg on your ass. No me gusta.

Yikes, that sounds kind of creepy. Maybe you could just try to tell him that you’ve changed your mind about the hobo stoves and that you’re not interested anymore? If that doesn’t work, maybe you should report him to the school, so that they can at least get him out of there?

BLAINE DEVON ANDERSON is an EIGHTEEN year old FRESHMAN at DALTON UNIVERSITY ACADEMY. HE is majoring in THEATRE ARTS/DRAMA & MUSIC; PERFORMANCE and minoring in MUSIC; THEORY & COMPOSITION. Some say he looks alot like DARREN CRISS. BLAINE is currently a TAKEN character.

THE IMPORTANT POINTS

Growing up in a wealthy family in Westerville, Ohio wasn’t always as easy for Blaine as one might think. Sure, he got to pursue every interest his young self could think of, from piano, singing and acting to fencing and tennis. But being an Anderson also meant having to keep up with an overcritical brother who shoved him into the background, a father with unrealistically high expectations and getting dragged along to charity events and trips to the country club on a regular basis.

Back in middle school, Blaine used to get the occasional disapproving look from other kids, who didn’t understand his interest in musical theatre and performing, or the way he dressed. But by high school, those disapproving looks turned into slurs and people shoving him into his locker. He ended up transferring schools halfway through sophomore year after getting attacked at a school dance and waking up in the hospital several hours later. Although he sometimes regrets running from his bullies, he knows that the fresh start his new school offered gave him the boost of confidence that he needed.

Attending Dalton University Academy had been somewhat of a compromise. With his dreams of a career on Broadway and getting out of Ohio as soon as he could, Blaine had always imagined he would move to New York City after high school, to attend college there. But when it was time to actually start applying to colleges, Blaine started to hesitate. What if he wasn’t good enough? What if his father was right about his plans being unrealistic? The idea of moving to New York suddenly seemed incredibly daunting, especially now that his mental health was a little all over the place after a messy breakup with his boyfriend (with whom he had been planning to move to NYC). So he eventually decided that it might be good to stay in a familiar environment while he adjusted to life as a college student, at least for his first year. He was still going to study Theatre Arts, just at his dad’s alma mater instead of in New York City. Dalton University Academy was an excellent school with one of the best performing arts programs in the country, after all, and New York wasn’t going anywhere. He could just try again next year.

Blaine has always loved performing an with older brother like Cooper Anderson, it was no surprise that he started to sing and dance as soon as he learned how to walk and talk. He had his first piano lesson when he was five and singing, acting and dancing lessons soon followed. While being a Broadway actor is his biggest dream, Blaine is also interested in writing and composing, which is why he decided to minor in Music Theory & Composition alongside his double major.
