Damian Esteban is a New York-based iOS/Fullstack developer with a passion for technology and coding. Damian can trace his fascination with technology back to his younger years, when he witnessed his father assemble his family’s home computer, a now-antiquated IBM PC Jr. Seeing the assorted systems working in tandem instilled him with an appreciation for the myriad of software and hardware that makes any such machine function properly. This was one of the reasons that Damian attended the New York Code and Design Academy in 2013. Since then, he has established himself as an iOS-focused software developer with a focus on Swift and Objective-C along with Ruby On Rails, ReactiveX, and Unix server administration. With his assortment of experiences, he founded the Bracket Factory, a development shop focused on the creation of web and mobile applications. To Damian Esteban, development is a way of life more than a profession. To that end, in addition to his work on Bracket Factory, he has also worked with other companies to make their ideas for applications reality. Currently, he serves as Chief Technology Officer for betterPT, a startup looking to build improved health applications. Outside of his work in development, Damian is an avid reader of comic books. As an individual with a background in world cultures, he believes that many comics belie the fears of the societies that created them behind their bright colors and fantastical plots. With modern comic book movies, the genre has seen a recent resurgence, something that Damian is thrilled to witness become an integral part of modern pop culture. Damian Esteban has also travelled across the world to pursue his love of studying other cultures. He prefers to immerse himself in the countries he visits as much as possible, planning free-flowing trips through the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. He is particularly fond of his time spent in the Indian subcontinent. by Damian Esteban
