He waved his cane theatrically, and a roar of applause erupted from the seats. It sounded as if they were in a stadium of thousands, though only maybe dozens of figures were in the seats in front of them. Clearly, Haven was manipulating reality somehow.

A few laughs came from the audience, as if it were some kind of inside joke.
Today, we have a merman. This creature comes from W-62793, and is a version of the famous Stuart Macher. It is the offspring of that universe's 'Poseidon' and an up-and-coming killer. Bidding starts at fifty million United States Dollars.
*Fifty million? That's over half of the money Virgil gave Kaz for this damned mission. That man better pay his fair half after this.*

Haven pointed with his cane to the five or so bidders who raised their hands.
