A nice piece of Bay Area history.

"The Thing That Ate Floyd" was a double-LP comp put out by Lookout Records in 1988, featuring 34 bands. It serves as a snapshot of what the East Bay punk scene looked like in the late-80s, featuring bands like Corrupted Morals, Cringer, Isocracy, Neurosis, The Mr T Experience, No Use For A Name, The Lookouts, Crimpshrine, and Operation Ivy (to name but a few!).

Sea Of Deprivation "Catharsis of Disharmony"

Super-underrated Dystopia love from Arizona. Since I can no longer listen to Dystopia (thanks to oversaturation by oogles and scumfucks), this is my new go-to! A great band, who ended prematurely due to tragic circumstances.

"Cheap Sex And Booze" by NYC drunk punk legends Public Nuisance. This was Profane Existence's one foray into the drunk punk world. This was so controversial due to its apolitical/drunk message that Profane didn't repress it afterward. It's pretty rare, and I've been looking for it forever. Killer punk shitz for when you don't want to think too much.

I saw this band open for The Mob in Oakland this past May, and I fell in love. Great Portland post-punk. This single was put out as part of the All The Madmen singles series volume 2.

Here's a true gem for all the Albertans out there.

Classic 90s political street punk from Edmonton's Glory Stompers. This is their first LP, when they were all still wee punk kids... before they cropped up and became an Oi band. You might recognize singer Greg as the same Greg who would go on to front the Subway Thugs, Lancasters, Alternate Action, and Bishops Green

Super obscure lady-fronted anarchopunk from the late-80s/early-90s. A Seattle band, I believe. I got this on a whim, and I quite enjoy it! West coast peace punk

After looking for this for so long, and finding copies for at least 50 bucks, I was at a used record stall behind Crust Stock and found this gem for a 20. This is where I pat myself on the back for a job well done.
