Moyo's Great Big Afterglow Default Project
HOORAH! 🥳Finally I can share with you guys! There's a lot to get through here so some notes beforehand.
There are way, way too many hairs to list and people to credit. See everything that's included and who all deserves credit in the spreadsheet I made for this project!
Not every hair is replaced! I don't know much about hidden clone hairs, for example. Some of them are replaced if the default I used as a base included them but most probably are not.
I chose to hide a bunch of the OFB hats and whatnot when I was starting to get burnt out of this project. See what hairs I've hidden on the hiders tab of the spreadsheet. Hiders are not included, but there's a link to them.
There's a few defaults I'm using from loosiap, rudhira and seabens. They are not included, see those in the defaults by others tab of the spreadsheet.
I use a bunch of no/random npc hair mods so not all npc hairs are replaced. See those in the no/random npc tab of the spreadsheet.
I use custom turn ons that change the one for hats so a lot of the hat hairs are replaced with non-hat hairs. I think most of the flags in simpe are changed to non-hat too but not positive - some might still be hat flagged.
Defaults where all I did was change the texture that didn't contain extra ages include them in a separate file because I didn't want to add them to the main file and mess anything up. Defaults done by me have them included in the main file.
Nearly every default has extra ages, but a few do not.
The Notes column of the spreadsheet mostly contains notes I wrote for myself regarding the custom versions of hairs I retextured (which will all be uploaded) but some of them do apply to the default too. I'm so brain fried though so I'm leaving it in the sheet. You can generally ignore - or read them if you want!
Defaults are in their own folders, and include a pic of the hair they're replacing and a pic of what they're replaced with...if the kind people on the default database are bored.
I'd never made a default replacement for hair before this so if any of these are not made in the best, most optimal way, apologies. I was learning as I went!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reach out if you notice any wonkiness. This was worked on over 3 of the most stressful months of my life so I'd not be surprised if I screwed anything up. Also if I forgot to mention anything in this post that you'd like to know, don't hesitate to ask that too!

Morlanthia. Vassian. First generation.
A little about Amanda Vassian.
Locked in the isolation ward, she soon felt the unbearable weight of loneliness. Missing her friends, the past, and lively human contact, she imperceptibly began to feel good about the soldiers who visited her once a week, inquiring about her condition. Although the girl grew physically stronger, her fate was sealed, the authorities deciding to keep her within four walls until she was eighteen. This confined life, filled with silence and lack of freedom, suffocated the girl, but she tried not to despair and hope to meet with the familiar world. Often she went out of the cabin and looked up into the clear blue sky. Amanda liked to think that the same sky was now over Simerica.
Sean and I left the unfriendly campus for the even more unfriendly Morlantia. The scholarships we had saved and the money the authorities gave us as young professionals were enough to buy a decent house and some furniture. Sean got a high position in architecture, while I got a middle position in politics. I was determined to make this country a better place, but for the time being I realized that I shouldn't advertise my rebellious sentiments. Before I left campus, I sat in my tracksuit and looked longingly at those walls. We'll never see them again! But for nothing, I was worried that Morlantia would be boring. Oh, no! Even in such a spacious, beautiful house, we'll find adventures.
I want to find Amanda,” I told my husband on his first day of work.
Good luck,” I said back. - I hope you're not too disappointed in your search. I sighed, put a smile on my face, and surfed the local network. The fact that people were going missing in Morlantia, especially newcomers, was not news to anyone. But my hope would live to the last.
The end of the fourth year crept up on us like a shadow, unexpectedly but inevitably. During the last months we indulged in carefree entertainment: dancing and reading, and occasionally writing term papers to soothe our souls. Our skills grew stronger, and we became the best of students. Time flew by like a bird, leaving no trace. Soon enough, Sean and I will return to our Morlantine town, where we are welcome, but not with open arms. I don't know how Bianca and Amanda are faring in our separation, but our communication has become almost infrequent in recent months. Especially with Bianca, it's as if the thread connecting us has broken, leaving only memories of what could have been. How much new meaning will everything take on when we return? Time will tell, but for now there are only memories of what was and thoughts of what is yet to come.
Breont Dynasty. Late third and early fourth year.
Here we are, fourth-years.
I can't believe it. It seems like yesterday we were brought here in a military truck, and then transferred to a cab for Simrekan journalists to take a couple of photos.
But that's all lyrical.
Toward the end of our student life, things got easier and we had more free time. Now we could afford such a luxury as reading books at will and for pleasure. not at night, by force. It's the same with chess. Most of the skills rolled, and all the scholarships were accumulated and put away in a separate box.
Fun fact: usually when we read, one was dressed in casual clothes and the other flaunted New Year's pajamas and bare heels. We both felt trust and wanted to be there for each other and beyond, no matter what the circumstances.
Sometimes a cranky-looking teacher in a white suit wandered by the dormitory. What does he want?
- Why don't we get our own place? - Sean suggested one day, when we were sitting with books in cozy chairs. - We'd raised enough money.
- No, sunshine. Your grandmother.
- Ahem.
- Your grandfather's widow.
- Ahem.
- That sneaky rat left us without a home. Now the money will come in handy after graduation.
I've been thinking about a house myself. A family. Kids. But I didn't want to think about my kids going to school with Mrs. - God forgive me - Armont's kids.
Out, both of you,” the faceless policeman in khaki muttered dismissively. Ryan? Alex? Max? In the low light, I couldn't see what was printed on his badge, and I wasn't interested. Sean's theory was right, we weren't suspected of any wrongdoing. It's just that that bitch Eva works at a scientific institute, and they can do anything. We can't do anything. And according to the law grandfather's house Sean will not get, will have to get their own place. That thought had been in my head for a long time. But it was even worse to see Sean so dead and depressed. I tried to talk to him as we sat in the corridor, waiting for the next officer to arrive to authorize our release. I glanced at our escort, seated across the hall. At the dark-skinned girl secretary - she reminded me of Bianca.
You can go,” the officer said, stomping loudly down the corridor and barely glancing at us. - Just sign a report of disobedience to the police.
What's that for? - I snapped at him.
Because shut up, simrekan. That's it. As it is, you're a citizen of Morlantia, and when you start digging for them, they start thinking about my homeland. I sighed and put a crooked signature. It seemed that in about five more years I would finally bend under the pressure of this totalitarian mechanism. Sean's fingers trembled, he didn't argue with the officer and tried not to look at anyone. Okay. I can bring him back to life and happiness.
It's cold. Half-dark. Scary. Only the duty light flickered under the ceiling; Sean had said they wouldn't turn it off. He'd spent a night in a similar cell about four years ago, for breaking curfew, and he knew it for a fact.
But there's good news,” he added, noticing my confusion. If it's just the two of us, they won't keep us here long. It's against the rules to keep a man and a woman together.
That's reassuring. As we talked, we glanced at the bars, at the immaculate white ceiling, and of course at each other. Although we were husband and wife, there was no intimacy between us yet. And now there was a slight tension in the air. Of course, we're not about to blatantly violate all decorum, but….. Tsk. Tsk. Knock. Someone opened the mechanical locks, and a young woman entered our cell. Beautiful, black-haired, pregnant. I looked at Sean closely, but he didn't seem to get it.
Hello, Mr. Aront,” the lady said in a ceremonious manner, at the same time looking down at Sean squeamishly.
Mr. Breton.
I'm your grandfather's wife.
Oh, grandmother? Cool. Ten years older than me.
Stop being sarcastic.
Don't be nervous, Grandma.
Okay,” the woman took a deep breath, gathering her remaining patience. - My name is Miss Eva Aronte. I am your grandfather's widow, young man. It was as if a cruel hand had wiped the snide smile from Sean's face. My husband was silent for a few moments. The sparks in his radiant eyes faded, his lips tightened into a narrow thread. The guest was also silent, giving him time to overcome his emotions. Then she looked intently into his darkened face and spoke briefly:
I need you to renounce your inheritance. There was silence again. Ringing and terrible. It dragged on, and Eva Aront, sighing annoyingly, got ready to leave. A sharp and curt one flew into her back:
Is this why you asked for us to be put in the cell?
And if I did? Did I, a pregnant mother, really have to drag myself to the campus? Sean said nothing in response. He couldn't get a word out, or he couldn't fully express what he was feeling. He just turned his back to the wall and remained silent as Eva walked away, rolling his eyes. He also covered himself with a book he'd found somewhere on the iron nightstand. Whether from Eva, or from grief, or from other inexpressible feelings.
The second year dragged on for an unimaginably long time. Sean and I had time to write term papers, to defend term papers, to learn all the skills necessary for studying, to read a mountain of textbooks. Still, we had a lot of time left before midterm. TV and music gave me a headache, and Sean was solving chess games with such a belligerent face that not only I was scared, but the pieces were probably scared, too. And then Sean needed new clothes, so we went to the night store. Or rather, a convenience store. Back then, we didn't doubt that at least the campus had that bit of freedom. There were almost no cops or military men driving through the streets here, and those we saw were interns and cadets. And of course there was no doubt that there was no curfew. But on our way out of the store, as Sean carried stacks of new clothes in a bag, we were stopped by a patrol of Morlantine police.
Come with me, young people.
But for what? I was surprised, Sean was angry.
You, Ms. Breton, are still not registered as a permanent resident of Morlantia.
That's because I'm a resident of Simerica!
That's in the past. Only your descendants from the 12th generation will be able to leave, and that's a long shot.
Oh, shit.
And you, Mr. Armont. You never showed up for your community service.
Mr. Breton.
What's the difference? - The cop's pissed. - You took your girl's name and you're making a big deal out of it! Come on, get in the car, both of you, before I call the SWAT team! Rolling our eyes and cursing in a whisper, we got into the back seat. Each of the mentioned reasons was far-fetched, I feel that we were detained for a completely different reason. Because she offered me a pillow fight. I just wanted to kill time. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to stand it and started to freak out from all the scary information that was piling up on my shoulders.

Rolling our eyes and cursing in a whisper, we got into the back seat. Each of the reasons given were far-fetched, I feel we were detained for a completely different reason.
All right. Draw me! With those words, I crawled out from under the blanket and strode vigorously, barefoot, across the icy dormitory tiles. Sean rejoiced and grabbed the brush, and I made the most disgruntled face I'd ever seen. And it had nothing to do with his hobby.
What, are we gonna fight like old marrieds?
I don't know. - I stretched lazily and tiredly. - How will we live in this totalitarianism? Sean laughed. I was so surprised that I even stopped sulking and grumbling. I just looked at him with round eyes, not understanding anything.
What's so funny?
Totalitarianism. What's that word?
Oh, it just came to me. I don't know where it popped into my head. It's getting late, Shawn. Let's get some sleep.
A lot of things changed after we got to sophomore year. Sean and I had somehow internalized the seriousness of the situation and stopped dreaming ridiculously and naively that we'd ever escape. He was without his grandfather, I was without my girlfriends, it was all in the past. We're the only ones left with each other, and without mutual support, it's going to be hard for everyone. Although, yes. Hope is futile. It was hard for me to accept, so I spent all my free time dancing. Sean was into drawing and computer games.
Let me draw you, Lily! - he'd exclaim as he stood at his easel.
Mmm. Why don't you draw a caricature of our ruler?
No one sees him or knows where he is,” Shawn replied dejectedly. - No one even knows if he is a man or a woman.
Okay,” I mumbled dejectedly. - So, we need to brush up on our skills. We need the money. They've raised the price of light and gas again… Sadly, I'm getting used to this new totalitarian reality. Any normal person would either die or accept it. My rebellious soul chose the second option, but worst of all, I was in no hurry to regret it. Instead, we sealed our relationship with rings and wedding vows, but without witnesses. On a cool spring morning, I became Mrs. … No, I remained Mrs. Breton. Because Sean resented his grandfather and wanted to take my last name.
Lillian Breton, will you be my wife?
Oh, this is so sudden…
I thought we'd spent enough time together to know each other well.
And you were right! Lillian took the gold ring, put it on her finger and threw herself into Sean's arms.
