This is my DollFamily DuoDuo deer, named Falere. She is my first try at blushing something other than a practice head, I am still not 100% happy but I wanted to take advantage of the snow for pictures. Also I’m sorry she is naked lol.

Something I’ve wanted to do for a while was to try dyeing a vinyl reborn kit. They all start out this super pale color and I thought it would be neat to start with a different base, because I’m mainly interested in making fantasy babies. There aren’t too many out there, aside from Avatar babies which I really don’t understand. There are also some Grinch babies around Christmas-time.

Anyway, I used RIT Synthetic in Kentucky Blue, and I’m really pleased with the results! Once they are dry I will try painting the kit with acrylics and sealing with MSC. While heat-set paints are great, they’re expensive and I only have a few colors, they wouldn’t work with a blue base. Also, it’s really easy to melt kits in the oven, ask me how I know.

It’s single digits and there’s snow outside, so the babies need winter outfits! The flannel onesies are the cutest thing for them to wear I think. I may switch part-way through because I have so many different ones. But now their toes will be warm all winter!

Just been super stressed still waiting for our house sale to close (after 6 months) and then my car broke down this week and it needs $1700 in repairs, which obviously I don’t have.

Firework Tiger Room Guardian

This was a very open free reign commission. All I had to do was make a tiger with blue eyes and the rest was up to me. I had a lot of fun layering the feathers on the neck. Quite satisfied with the results. This tiger has a bloodstone crystal heart. Its back stands about 6" tall and he has a coat of high quality faux fur and layered ostrich feather. The neck has a fully poseable plastic ball and socket armature inside that will not wear out over time. The forelegs and tail are also fully poseable with a wire armature inside.
