Wounded soul
(Final version)
Its Minutes to midnight
Silence slithers in
Will I ever see daylight
Or will I stay trapped in
Chains around my brain
Can anyone hear me
about to break, Is this fate
No one cares until it's too late
This is the cry
Of a mortally wounded soul
A broken boy
Who just wanted to grow old
He cared too much
Became so damaged
Remaining lost out in the cold
I see glimpses of heaven everyday
stars in a jet black night
Fragments pulling me from the edge
I can't fear death
It feels like if died so many times
How deep do I cut to fix this
To see how I really feel
Does death have a hit list
I can't fight this storm
The waves power is beauty
I tumble over board
I can feel you, Colours begin to dull
gunfire in my head again
I can feel the bullets
bounce around my skull
What the fuck is wrong with me
my enemy's are memories
They'll say its fiction, even lies
So why do they render me
Incapable of living life
Now what remains
a rag doll, broken toy discarded on the floor
It strikes again
Rolling quietly form a far
Building up momentum high
self destruction
publicly burning me alive
Labelled a survivor
Why can't I be more
Im sick and tired
Simplicity defeats me
Where others seem to thrive
Over time you begin to distance
The water begins to rise
self medicating in isolation
waiting for me to die
It's easy pointing fingers
But you should try my life
before making your assumption
Remember who holds the knife
I'm only human,
just like you
Below all these cracks and bruises
And whatever pieces I could find
I want to scream, I'm torn between
make believe Dreams
a happy family
that came from me
And the Fear and hate of reality
How to survive
The monstrosity of being alive
Ignorance is deadly
Continued is a sin
It seems you crossed that line
Hindsight can be a Teacher
But it will never turn back time
Now the broken boy is no more
only thing he was ever guilty for
was the heart they never saw
