So I did some sprite edits

I wanted to try my hand at sprite editing, so I started simple by editing Hajime's sprite to his post DR3 look. Here are the first ten. Feel free to use them for whatever. Shitposts, comics, videos, just link back to this post or my account.

I think what really helps sell pibby's concept is that pibby is a fictional show that did not exist before this. its not an "edgy reboot" because there was no initial boot, and its not an obvious parody of an existing show since it was made specifically for this.

Because of that, theres no "oh they ruined it" or "this ruined my childhood" (much) because pibby did not exist before the corruption, this version of her show is the only one we know of. We, as viewers, haven't seen the 700 episode's of her series, teachings kids and having clean fun, so we have no attachment to her "old" show since it never existed to us. This gives the actual show free reign to do whatever they want with her, without stepping on anyone's toes.

Because of that, they can tell an actual serious story with this concept without being bogged down by any existing Canon, or the fact that its a derivative of an existing property like a parody, side series, or fanfiction. Not to diss on parodies or fanfictions, but no matter how good they are, they always lack the crucial stamp of "official canon" that a quote unquote "real" series has. No matter how invested you are in them, you know on a basic level that it's not the real deal, and likely never will be, so you can't fully take it seriously, but pibby is different.

While many other things like parodies and fanfictions have done this concept, especially fanfics, the viewer was never able to truely take their content seriously like other series. But since pibby has a clean slate to work with, and is an official, full production show, the viewer can take it seriously. Narratives like this were usually limited to fanfictions or were story plots in crossover fighting games, just a narrative engine to get everyone favorite characters in one place. But the Fear, the Pain, and the Horror of being there is rarely explored, but it seems like pibby will explore it, very throughly.
