SURPRISE ITS BLACK HAIR!!!!! im so proud of the design change cuz goobie looks more like ME >:P and it omly took 2 weeks. foolish thought but im almost sure i indirectly started the lords of acid animation trend on tt cuz i SWEARR days before i heard anyone say a thing about the band i added the same song under one of my posts so i conceived this

i gotta get back on the commissions grind because its official im seeing some friends in los angeles!!!!!! ‧₊˚ bendy + alice angel’s dynamic over time :P

first panel/s basically takes place around when alice angel was first created, so bendy kinda felt like she was a threat to his place as a star (especially with her talented singing + love for being on stage and being admired by people, and bendy’s narcissistic insecurity with his whole purpose being a star while other toon stars actively outshine him) so they would have trouble cooperating on set for a good bit

eventually tho after enough time with working together it was made clear that bendy’s spot isn’t going anywhere (+ he became less aggressive, but that didn’t dim his very self-assured attitude) and alice doesn’t have any intention of being competitive. their personalities do still clash a little considering alice is an angel with more decency and consideration for other people, so naturally she gets annoyed with some of bendy’s antics (anything from smoking, to tricking people a little bit to get something out of it, to cracking a crude joke etc etc etc)

using this ask as an excuse to elaborate but yea nah the thing is i dont want ppl stressing too much about the referencing art boundary of mine cuz while it is something that im mildly strict about, i dont want people sweating their ass off overthinking about whether their character/art was subconsciously based off mine, or that it looks too similar, etc.

main thing for me is intention, cuz i dont want people taking inspo with the clear intention to BE LIKE me and just me alone (it gets can get really clear who does and who doesn't do this) but u should be taking elements of inspo with some other things you like included to make something more personal to you :3

TL;DR yeah thats fine just do it with yourself in mind first, not me (also ty !)

i notice i tend to make his eyes bigger which makes him look more baby-ish (?) which i wanna stray away from since i dont view his core character like that at all (눈_눈) i wanna match the shape language with his character so people have a good first impression on what he’s like w/o having to explain as much

maybe his stage persona but he’s a vulgar brooklyn new york unc idc. this was a rough doodle so its not my best work but thas ok

small first-interaction thing that wasn’t supposed to be fully rendered

dude i love talking about batim with my folks. gothmoth gave me the idea that they act a lot like gomez and morticia (1964 film only, not any of the newer ones) and not down to a t, its mostly in terms of personality cuz i feel like spooky/macabre stuff isn’t a theme for the both of them

i like that scene with gomez where he builds a house and destroys it with a wrecking ball after for the “finishing touch” cuz thats literally just bendy, plus brittle’s interests mirror minnie mouse’s but all of them are dead/dangerous instead of cutesy which also helps show brittle being the opposite of bendy. instead of tending to daisies she would own poisonous/deadly plants like flytraps or jimsonweed (“devil’s flower”) and instead of a beach day she’d “sunbathe” during a gloomy day meanwhile bendy is prolly stealing pies from old ladies for a picnic or smth

For Ghost and Nina, what your thoughts on each other? Are you two friends, neutral, rivals?

it’s canonical that nina and jeff have more of a sibling/sidekick dynamic so in my version of nina’s backstory she became increasingly obsessed over their similarities and the idea of being partners in crime with jeff the killer

they’re partners in crime [you’llll never taaake us aliiiivvee] who are intimate with each other, not seeing anyone else, neither do they really use terms like boyfriend/girlfriend but they have emotional depth and long term shared experiences so at that point they’re literally just a couple w/o the cute fluffy shit

basically over the span of 4 years they went from highschool crushes to enemies to partners in crime who knife spar and kiss
