like after the allegations came out I literally retreated outta the Henry Danger fandom, deleted every show he wrote from my prime video + netflix watch list, and went back to watching cbbc-
and that's a fine response to have! i completely understand that like 1000%. i'm glad you were able to detach from it in that way and that you seem happy with that. /gen!!
i don't think that means everyone has to respond that same way.
i only first watched the series in January of 2024 and i knew that man was icky already. while the full documentary hadn't come out yet, it was mostly known that he was a creep. i never liked him or was even neutral on him!
like i said in my last post, i avoid rewatching and such. i avoid things that i know will benefit him. but, also, it's important to remember that almost anything we do benefits some bad person in some way. there's kind of no way to avoid that. that doesn't mean we can't try, of course!! it's good to try to avoid it where we consciously can.
i don't fault anyone for their response to him unless they wholeheartedly support him. i don't want to end up so focused on how individual fans are responding that i stop focusing on the main problem, which is him.
i also don't consider it my place to judge someone's response to it. unless, like I said, they're just yknow wholly and outwardly supporting him bc that's horrible.
I legitimately have a question for all ppl who are still fans of the dangerverse after the allegations.
how do u feel knowing ur main fandom was made by a PDF-file and just Terrible Person in general..
i appreciate you asking because it's an important conversation to have, and i hope there isn't bad intentions behind you asking.
it's horrible. that man is repulsive and deserves to rot. while he created the show initially, and the first 3 seasons have his influence heavily, by season 4 the show improved a lot due to him no longer writing (or not near as much) for it. as well as the cast becoming really involved in production!
i so deeply wish that he wasn't connected to the show, and unfortunately he can't be entirely removed. i hate that he still IS connected to the franchise.
i can't force myself to stop loving the product though. i try to avoid interacting with it in ways that profit him. i don't rewatch the series' or movie much at all because i don't want to be putting money in his pocket.
i hate him. definitely do not take my love for the dangerverse as any kind of condoning of his actions because it's the furthest thing from that. i love what the dangerverse became more than anything else. even if i do a rewatch, i stick to my favorite episodes and those are pretty much all in henry danger seasons 4 and 5 only. i don't love his print on the franchise, i really love it most without his strong influence present.
I love discussing the show with other fans and making theories and writing fanfiction and making edits and such. i despise the man who started it.
The Hart siblings :((
the dread henry must feel seeing robots & drones becoming more advanced, seeing cyborgs become more common place & machines slowly taking over
do you think he wonders what side Charlotte will inevitably take with her already being part robot? do you think he saw Rick Twitler on Nakatomi Tower and knew it was too late to stop it?
it's career day for my kid brother at school tomorrow and he said he wanted to be "the actor who plays henry"
so i delivered on throwing together a couple of props he can bring to school for his costume lol
He stealing your man Charlotte
do u ever see a theory and ur like ‘nah the writers aren’t that clever’
What if he were to accidentally start fighting Henry in his sleep? Has that happened before? How does he know who to fight? How does he not just fight the nearest person? HOW IS HE AWARE ENOUGH TO FIGHT THE RIGHT PERSON? CAN HE EVER SLEEP NORMALLY? THIS CANT BE GOOD FOR HIM IN THE LONG RUN! HE PROBABLY WAKES UP IN PAIN BECAUSE HES BEING LIKE KICKED AND PUNCHED IN HIS SLEEP!
ever since i first watched HD i've had headcanons about this.
he couldn't control it at first. yeah, he got lucky in the man cave that one time, but he couldn't control it every time. he would fall asleep at night and sometimes it would be fine. but other times he woke up suddenly with henry pinned to the wall trying his hardest to get jasper to wake up without having to force-field him across the room.
after a couple occurrences where he woke up realizing he was hurting henry or charlotte, he was scared to sleep unless he induced it. unless he KNEW there was a fight to be had. he could still fight crime, but a restful night was his biggest fear. he was terrified he would hurt his friends again.
it took jasper a while to get used to his ability and to learn to manage it. he sleeps fine now. but for at least a few months, he was constantly dragging because he forced himself to stay awake almost every night.
have you ever thought about doing a Game Shakers video? or is the show too boring to really justify such a thing?
So when it comes to doing Henry Danger and Game Shakers videos, there are really a few things I think people need to keep in mind...
The mini-series so far is really heavily about me revisiting my nostalgia and kind of answering my curiosity about where these shows went. So reviewing iCarly and Victorious worked because they were of "my era." Sam & Cat worked on that level of "What happened after I stopped watching?" I think that if I don't have a specific goal or pitch, just flippantly watching kid shows from faaaar past my childhood works less as a concept.
One of the great things about iCarly and Victorious is that both shows are barely, and I mean BARELY, in the copyright system on YouTube. Once or twice per season, I'd get one clip or one episode that I had trouble with. But it was shocking how much I could get away with. Sam & Cat was hell because it was clear that by 2013 Nick was uploading stuff to the YouTube copyright library as it was made. So no matter what I did, I would get a copyright claim. This is honestly why those final two videos were much more indulgent than my usual style. I kind of went, "if I have to fight copyright anyway, might as well show more clips..." I regret this somewhat, as now my new video still has 20+ days until I'll have full ads AND I now have a reputation for only recapping plotlines. But that's what you get I guess.
This is much more a thing for Henry Danger than Game Shakers, but another issue is just how much content there is with these shows. Henry Danger has a decade of content, recapping all of it would be both unsurmountable journey and... Well, not fun to watch. So if I ever did these shows, I would have to really focus more on season-by-season analysis rather than actual episodes.
I think my videos on iCarly, Victorious and Sam & Cat are all connected by certain themes and points that I am now drawing closure to. The gags about "the creator," the cognitive dissonance, the attachment to childhood, etc. So if I do reviews on other shows, I have to find new angles and themes to establish. Drake & Josh and Zoey 101 are topics I like because instead of focusing on the creator, I can focus on the lives of the stars and how fame affected them. When it comes to Game Shakers and Henry Danger, the only possible throughline I can think of is how the shows were effective by the collapse of their creator and production studio. Henry Danger continued and improved while Game Shakers was effectively canceled early and fell on its face. But we've already covered all that. Game Shakers just doesn't have that pull to me, and because of that, I can't imagine finding an excuse to review it.
I will testify that even if I strongly dislike, utterly hate, and cannot stand a character, I will never go on someones post talking about liking that character and say so. Basic decency and all that
This applies to ships and aus and headcanons, and everything too. Message your friends, make your own post, block and mute, do whatever you want in private, but don't be rude on other people's post 🫡
This gig is possibly the most henry moment in the movie
i knew i wasn't the only one who thought this.
henry danger the movie spoilers + criticism for a plot hole that i think i have perceived?
im just now rlly thinking abt the logistics of the RAD and how they explained it. if missy wrote jasper and piper into her stories too, why did the device only retrieve henry? shouldn't it have taken them too? not just left them in dystopia and made new versions of them within the stories?
it's not like henry was touching the RAD when it first took him or anything. absolutely nothing was different abt his situation vs theirs in relation to the RAD, right?
ik i said "plot hole" but i don't believe in plot holes personally i believe in filling in the plot holes. so im gonna think abt how the RAD might work where it only took henry. maybe it's able to evaluate who's a main character in the story and it only takes them. Or maybe just like... main protagonists. bc vampiper would be a main character in her story, just a main antagonist- WAIT NO bc Captain Stache would ALSO be a main protagonist so it should have taken jasper if that was the case.
i'm gonna think more on this. how can i explain this plot hole for myself. any suggestions?
yoooooo this is a good explanation. i didn't even consider that the RAD would be taking into account her actual intentions.

i fear some of you guys are misunderstanding the movie to a very large degree however i will keep my mouth shut to each their own!
i'm glad we all have our individual experiences
did the movie make sense? ehhh not really !
was it objectively really really well made? that is debatable, and thus not objective, so no
but do i love it with all my heart and soul? yes very much it means everything to me
i miss bose
