I cant lie I didnt see that you uploaded the Grumpy Cat video until just now but I would like it to be clear that I got so excited that I jumped for joy and screamed and my family became concerned and basically thank you this made my day so much!!!

Once again, my "90-minute quickie video" had grown very quickly and is now 3 hours long with a solid chunk of stuff left to record. What is wrong with me.

youtube is almost certainly doing algorithm fuckshit and burying ur new video. im subscribed to ur channel, ive watched every single one of ur previous vids multiple times, the newer ones all within 24hrs of their release, and I deadass could not find ur grumpy cat video. its nowhere in my homepage, its not been on my subscription page, nowhere. I had to type in and go directly to ur channel to find it after seeing here that ud posted.

I know that doesn't necessarily make it feel better, but I do hope it helps a little to know that the vid isn't underperforming because u did a bad job or because ur audience is choosing for themselves not to watch it

I mean, I think it's a little of both. I find it hard to pretend that the intense feeling of burnout some in my audience have voiced is artificial. Some people are over the "long videos" trend, some people are too busy, and some people just want kids show reviews. I'm fine with that I think, and more importantly accepting it is important to what comes next.

really sorry the video is doing badly, but I hope you know that it was absolutely delightful to watch for those of us who did and that I think you did an amazing job reconciling fallen titans with your newer video style. I genuinely thing that the people calling it brand poisoning didn't even check it out, cause all I could think throughout it is that it felt like your Fred video with some hints of all your past series! Even if it was a fully classic fallen titan, you get to decide what your brand is. I know this is your job so you have to appeal to your audience to a degree, but I can assure you that tons of people would rather watch a video you are passionate about making than one you feel obligated to make for the whiny people on twitter.

Will be rewatching the whole thing soon, hope things turn up and that you can regain some enthusiasm about video making!! Rooting for you! :)

Thank you! I've had an interesting week. Today someone commented on a Re2s upload of Dad's stuff "No one cares, go back to Nickelodeon content." It struck me that they're probably right, and my videos will do better when I do more Nick videos. But I'm hoping standing my ground and experimenting with my brand will end up working out in the long run. :)

I loved your new video! I'm always excited to see your deep dives into something that's clearly gripped you. Your Garfield video is one of my favorites of all time, BECAUSE of how heartfelt and sincere a lot of it was.

I don't know if you know this, but the DressUp Game SuitU has Grumpy Cat (or a version of her, I think) as kind of a mascot in some select sections of the game. I noticed while I was playing and watching your video and it never stood out to me before! (Proof below)

just wanna throw out - I think YT is partially responsible for burying the Grumpy Cat video and I have no idea why. Normally a new Quinton Reviews would be absolute top of my recommended page, but this time I didnt see it for two full days, and it was towards the bottom. (Maybe it has something to do with ScottTheWoz and Defuctland also posting in the same week?)

That is to say, I’m sorry it’s not doing well so far but as soon as I saw it I was so excited!! (My three favorite channels in one week, SCORE!!!)

These people telling you Fallen Titans is "brand poison"... what is their impression of your brand? Are you just the funney longform icarly video man to them, or do they understand you have depth beyond Nickelodeon sitcoms? You gotta account for their perception of you before you accept their advice, and you certainly shouldnt let yourself be pigeonholed. There are only so many sitcoms to cover after all, and most are less interesting than the ones you've already talked about.

The claim I've gotten is that Fallen Titans makes people think "Oh this is part of a series of videos I haven't seen" so they don't want to click. As for what people expect from my channel, I have no idea anymore.

(If anyone doesn't know, I haven't ever seen JoJo's Circus, I grew up when Playhouse Disney was airing shows like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny, but I know enough about the show from second hand understandings that I do understand how to make a joke about this.)

Congrats on the ten years. Long time listener, first time caller-

A) what's the red book

B) did you record new footage for the intro? Bc it feels super samey but also feels really 'classic quinton'. Like, definitely the vibe you were going for I think, but I get the feeling some of it is new footage or at least unseen footage

A) The red book is a compilation of public domain detective stories. I checked it out of my middle school library, then lost it, had to pay for it to graduate, then found it afterwards.

B) I did record new shots for the intro! I wanted it to feel like the 2016 intro expanded. The big tell is the abandoned Kmart, alongside a few things that didn't exist in 2016, like Clive the Alien. I'm considering keeping this version of the intro around and regularly filming new stuff, but people keep telling me that Fallen Titans is brand poison and I need to go back to it being dead.

Having a really bad day. Thanks to any of you who checked out the new video. Today I've been feeling lower than I've felt in a long time. Having the video bomb mixed with the regular viral twitter posts about how I'm the biggest hack to ever hack and how I hate myself and my fans has just made me question why any of this is worth it anymore. It's hard when I come back with a video after years of being gone, thinking I can get back into the swing of monthly releases, and already with one video I feel burnt out and depressed beyond reason. Hope y'all who have watched the Grumpy Cat video have liked it.
