They called her whatever suited them most at the time.

“Eh,” The man scrunched his nose and squinted his eyes, giving almost a painful expression while he let her down softly, “This isn’t the sound we’re lookin’ for, Sweetie.”

“Not gonna happen here, Babe,” another shook his head and gave Danhya back her mix.

And another, “Look, Sweet Cheeks ...”

Only on the rare occasion would Danhya be called by her name. It irked her when someone called her a pet name like ‘honey’ or ‘babe’ or ‘sweetie’ or ‘dear’, especially when they didn’t know each other and even more when they had a place to find her name. She made sure she had ‘Danhya Thomas’ written clearly on the mix itself. It irked Danhya at the beginning when she first started getting replies from producers about her mix, but after figuring out the trend and that it wasn’t going to stop, she felt her blood start to boil.

It had to have been the tenth producer where she finally exploded.

“Nah, Honey, it’s just no-”

“Alright!” Danhya threw her arms up. “Listen here, you arrogant son of a bitch. My name’s not honey, my name’s not babe, my name’s not sweets, okay!? My name is Danhya and you better fucking remember that. Engrave it into your thick balding head if you have to, because you’ll be seeing it everywhere in the future.”

The thing with record labels and their producers, she found out however, was that they all had some of the largest egos. They had the performer’s future in their hands and they could potentially make or break them. If they signed the performer and they made it, then the producer would have yet another person to gloat about being the reason for. If they signed the performer and they didn’t make it, then they didn’t really have much to worry about, whereas the performer would get laughed with the audience’s full force. And, of course, the fact that the producers could turn the performer down with that power was probably the best feeling for them. 

Producers didn’t care too much about people, or at least the ones she’d met. All they cared about was getting the next big sensation to pry money from.

Danhya, however, was determined to prove everyone wrong.

The Slytherin dormitories and common room are reached through a bare stone wall in the dungeons. The Slytherin common room is a long, low, dungeon-style room, under the Hogwarts Lake, furnished with green lamps and carved armchairs.
