I have so many shoots to post and not enough time in the day! Since everything is opening up in the bay area I have been swamped with shoots so I have quite a backlog of work to post.  This was an engagement shoot from mid April and I had a wonderful time with these three!  We went to Lover's Lane, then Lyon Street Steps which is just a five minute walk away, and then finished up at the Batteries to Bluffs trail where they had gotten engaged.  Such a cool trail and you get amazing, close views of the GG Bridge.

How have I never been to the SF Botanical Gardens??  It's a nature photographer's dream!  I love love loved shooting here so much.  I have to thank this couple for recommending it and that the groom to be walked the entire gardens for a couple hours before we actually did the shoot so we could go to specific spots they liked.  We could have spent the entire shoot there but we had to get to Baker Beach for some sunset photos of course.  If any future couples want to shoot here, the answer is yes!

I think this shoot was rescheduled a few times due to the craziness of last year but we finally made it happen and it was wonderful!  Lover's Lane is beautiful as usual and then we went to The Palace of Fine Arts which is such a great dramatic spot for photos.  I had to stop myself from shooting thousands upon thousands of pictures.  I ended up delivering one of the largest galleries for an engagement shoot I have ever delivered but it was totally worth it.

So wonderful to be out and about around people again!  I have been shooting longer than normal on some shoots just because I enjoy being able to breathe in the fresh air.  Lover's Lane/Baker Beach combo on this one.  Tried something new shooting up into the trees with the couple almost falling over but they hung in there. High five to them.

Sorry, not sorry about all of these adorable puppy pics! This couple was going to get married last year but had to reschedule as you could imagine. They aren't doing their full wedding this year so we came up with a creative way to use some of the photography credit they had with me for some photos of their new puppy. And boy was it fun!

You know how I just posted a maternity shoot right before this one and was like, sometimes I do shoots that aren't engagements or weddings for friends? Well apparently I'm doing other shoots now because here is another one I did recently for a couple that I had photographed their wedding for a few years ago. They are so sweet and we have hung out a little since then. They recently got pregnant and wanted to announce to their friends and family the pregnancy with some photos. I was happy to do it for them and I felt lucky to be one of the first to know!

I used to do many different kinds of shoots before settling into engagements and weddings over the past five years or so now. But every so often I'll take a shoot outside of the norm if it's for a friend. Mary and Ben are my wife's good friends and I went to their wedding years ago. I was excited to do their maternity shoot and am so happy for them!

I am loving being able to get back out there and take photos again! This shoot is from a few weeks ago and my second on the year. Stow Lake/Baker Beach are such a great combo for diversity in the backdrops. I never get tired of shooting at these locations. More shoots to come soon. Including a puppy!

It’s been a couple months since I picked up my camera and I was so happy to get back out there to shoot.  It’s also nice to take a break and come back fresh after shooting for a long stretch. Oh and with the whole pandemic thing and winter, it’s nice to see other people in person for a change.

Small world but this bride is a wedding dance teacher and she taught one of my couples their first dance moves a few years ago. Fun to connect that way.   I had never been to Lake Temescal but it was absolutely beautiful and I look forward to more shoots there. And you can't go wrong with Lake Merritt. It was nice to be out and about again. It's been too long.

Oh man these two had been through a lot to finally get to their wedding day.  Three wedding venue changes and three wedding date changes over the course of about two years.  They are troopers.  It was a beautiful downsized wedding with some of their closest friends and family and of course, their dog.

So this was amazing for me.  The couple was supposed to get married this year but decided to cancel and just do a three hour couple portrait shoot in their wedding outfits.  Basically a dream for me.  We shot at Mt. Tam, Muir Woods and Muir Beach.  So many beautiful locations and a beautiful couple.  Perfecto!

My favorite two places to shoot. Stow Lake/Baker Beach. And these two were absolutely adorable together. Looking forward to their wedding next year.

Those warm October days in SF are the best.  We shot around the Mission/Clarion area and had a lot of fun finding murals.  Then we trekked to the top of Bernal Heights Park.  After catching our breath we enjoyed some spectacular views of the city.

Finally getting around to posting a few shoots from the past couple months.  These two are getting married next year on the east coast but wanted an engagement shoot done in SF where they live.  

The fog at Baker Beach blocked our view of the GG Bridge, but we had some very dramatic clouds going the other direction.

We had to reschedule this shoot once due to  smoke and almost had to again but luckily we were able to make it work.  

The Palace of Fine Arts is usually crowded with tourists but mix Covid and smoke and you get an almost deserted location for photos.  The silver lining of all of this I suppose as a photographer.

These two were married a couple weeks ago in their backyard and it was incredibly sweet. We wanted to go somewhere close by to do portraits and Deer Park Villa was very accommodating for us. Even with Covid, couples have been managing to have small intimate weddings in a safe way. I have really been enjoying how relaxed and sweet they are.
