HND 2 End of Year Exhibition Review
How does the poster advertise the exhibition
The image for the exhibition was selected by a vote from the students. It is a very bold and eye catching image and shows the quality of work that will be on display.
Suitability of exhibition space/lay out
The exhibition was held at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow and was an excellent venue choice. The interior is lovely and fits with our work. It was layed out over 2 floors. Most the portraits on the first floor and most the landscapes on the second. It was layed out in a circle so when you come up the stairs you walk round looking at the work then move onto the next floor.
How has work been mounted. Is it appropriate?
The work was all framed in the same black frames mounted with a white border. The exhibitions looked really well with everyone’s images displayed in the same way
who made the work?
HND Year 2 Students from The City of Glasgow College
Who did they make it for/who is audience?
Some of the work on display was from previous college projects and some of it personal. The audience for the exhibition was mainly for other photographer, Guests who have visited us, members of the public and family and friends.
How does it make you feel?
It definitely made me feel emotional. Seeing everyone's hard work finally paying off and with the realisation that I am about to start my next chapter
How would you describe it to someone later
A selection of some of the best work from The City of Glasgow College HND year 2 students. There is a great range of different work on display and there will be something to suit everyone's cup of tea.
Do the photographs make you to ask questions?
Some of the images made me want to talk to the photographer to get more insight into them as there was some I really liked and some I almost dont ’get’. So hearing from the photographer about the images would help me see them differently,
Are they valuable? who might buy
The images where on sale for 120 pound framed or 95 pound unframed.
