That sounds… Difficult. I’m glad you’ve made it this far, Zoe. I don’t know what I’d do without you.

Uh. Well. Before my… change, I had a bit of a stutter. I still do, but only when I get excited or nervous. And I was a bit small… I was bullied a lot in school.

It was quite difficult. I still miss my father, as he was really the only person in my family beyond my Aunt and Grandmum that cared about me. But thanks, I appreciate that. And really? That’s sweet of you to say, Daniel. Really, really sweet. It means a lot that you care that much. 

I’m sorry. Kids are cruel. I’ve always been short, so I understand that. I was teased too. I didn’t have a lot of friends growing up either. I know what you mean. But hey, at least you don’t have to deal with them anymore, right?

I think I’d like to visit California. I have a friend who lives there. You were only seventeen? That’s… very young.

California is beautiful. I miss it sometimes. You should go there sometime. I only really go there to see my Grandmum and Aunt. 

I graduated high school early. I was home schooled up until high school, and when they placed me in high school, I ended up excelling, and was able to graduate early. I do think it messed me up a little bit. I got involved with bad crowds. Even in high school. How I ended up graduating early even with all the shit I did, I’ll never know.

I didn’t have many friends in High School, so I never got into trouble really… But it seems like you’ve grown up a lot if what you say is true.

I didn’t either. I was a druggie. Mainly it was me and my boyfriend at the time. I got into some bad things… well, after my father died. Me and my boyfriend at the time were like two lost souls clinging to one another, finding comfort in drugs and each other. It really took a figurative trip to hell and back to help me grow up. Plus, there are so many other factors that helped. I used to be a mess. Still am in many ways. *she sighs* But I’ve come a long way. 

Why didn’t you have many friends? If you don’t mind me asking?

But I’m not sure I could talk to them… People skills isn’t exactly my strong point.

You’ll never know unless you try, right? Besides, it might be hard at first but with practice, you’ll get there. And if you’re behind a cash register, you don’t have to make much conversation anyway.
