I'M NORMAL
from Unlucky Distortion Relief
It has been aggravatingly long since I've had the chance to post to this. One of the distractions being the production and release of my new album, Unlucky Distortion Relief. I'm very excited about the outcome. The album can be streamed and download for free at http://danihouse.bandcamp.com
Downloads and shares would be greatly appreciated!
LOBSTER LAD
a comic short
This was drawn yesterday while waiting for a friend of mine to get out of class, and I ended up finishing it later on in the car. I love unsuccessful vigilantes, and it's about time the world had one with lobster hands!

"I'M MOLTING"
from How We Eat the Sun
This is the first track I recorded for what was to become the spring 2011 album, How We Eat the Sun. I was in a strange place emotionally at the time, probably around January. I first showed the track to long time friend and collaborator Andrew Swain who showed interest in some of my ideas for the release. We formed the Marmalads duo and recorded about half of the songs on the album live. After filling in the gaps with some multi-tracking of my own, the result was the short-lived Marmalads cassette. This was in very limited circulation and promotion was usually done online with an accompanying creepypasta article. Afterward I started traveling and wanted some handouts for recent work I had done, I decided to re-release the album under my name with an additional track, "Robots & Cigarettes". This remains the recording effort I'm most fond of, with this being the track to ignite it all.

Taken Abath
This song is about taking a bath. Recorded in Andrew's bedroom with an Arizona can. Very goblinesque...
Tex Haper's Country New Wave
I truly and sincerely wish I had conceived and constructed this masterpiece of German culture. Amen.
CRICKETS?
a comic short
I drew this up earlier today, after extensively wandering through the suburbs. While passing a park, a took notice to the sound of crickets chirping in close proximity. It sounded as if they were right beneath my feet but I could see nothing, even after combing the grass. I pondered this phenomenon, and developed this little theory...

MIDDLEGROUND
from Self Portraits of a Lost Soul
Well... this is the album that almost wasn't. It was winter 2010 and my constant emotional tug of war took a turn for the worse. I ended up leaving the state for about a month with nothing but a backpack leaving my work on this album half-finished. Needless to say after a night of sleeping outside in the brisk Midwestern winter I backed out of my well conceived scheme and stayed in Chicago for a while until returning to the good ol' Crossroads of America, where I finished the emotionally draining Self Portraits of a Lost Soul, immediately recording this when I returned...
