Dana said no. Any Trans symbolism/storytelling you saw was unintentional on her part. Sorry about that...At least she's upfront about it. Most creators see the high hopes from fans, say NOTHING, and tease them throughout the series only to give fans scraps instead of what they REALLY want. So...there's that.
