Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary opened the business development in Tokyo on October 11, 2017. 55 Danish companies participated. Crown Prince Frederik made a speech about the 150th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Japan, saying,
“The Crown Princess and I are proud to lead a delegation of 55 Danish companies. They are looking to strengthen and expand their presence in Japan. In the coming days, we will promote Danish know-how in sectors such as design, health care and food and agriculture. “

The Danish Crown Prince Couple visited the Japanese National Archives in Tokyo with Crown Prince Nahurito. There they saw the exhibition “Japan and Denmark: Valuable Records of the Historical Relationship”, created in collaboration with the Danish National Archives. The exhibition consists of more than 80 valuable documents and historically preserved materials, all documenting the 150-year diplomatic relations between Denmark and Japan.
