Fuck just finished ghost of yotei and I'm so horny for atsu. Ik I might be the only one but I wanna breed her and support her being a strong warrior by doing house husband stuff. She always gets angry at the fragile bone needle but she doesn't have to worry with house husband reader!. She never has to cook again, thank the gods. Might write more...
Ah yes, normal henry gropus. my favorite pocket monster.
I just adore it when people spray a little stink on N rather than just drawing generic bishounen #5, so that's usually what I try to do when I draw him as well. Droopy tired eyes N my beloved... chef's kissies, property of the cryptids.
The irony of Ghetsis, the man who purposefully made N this way, yelling at him for being who he is... only serves to make Ghetsis even mor pathetic and monstruous.
i would LOVE to hear you rant about iris/N juxtaposition
Hello There sorry for taking my sweet time to answer this but I actually didn't have anything written down and lazed around but Halloween Iris Is Coming, so It's Time, Unorganized Rambles Let's GO!
(I love them)
First Things First: Naming Parallels
Here's the thing: both of them are named after variables. N representing a mathematical equation's, while Iris is named after the rainbow.
But here is the thing: N being a math variable is significant when in the "Black and White" game. From this very beginning, N has a limited view in contrast to Iris' name showcasing she has seen a wider spectrum of colors and lives, as we'll keep seeing further in.
Both of them speak to Pokemons
But the way they do so is different. N speaks to all Pokemon, and directly Communicates. Iris only talks to Dragon Types, however, but does so in a more directly empathic way.
In a way, that gives Iris a deeper connection than N. She may not be communicating, but she gets a more direct understanding. She may only listen to dragons, but it makes her aware of what she can't understand, unlike N who was unaware of how he only listened to abused pokemon.
Both of them are connected to Dragon-Types
This one is pretty duh, but still. N has one of the Legendary Dragons. Iris is the Dragon-Type Gym Leader, and later still has half her team be Dragon-Type as Champion.
Wild childs, raised by authority
Iris a bit less than N, given that the Village of Dragons is An Actual Community, but still: both come from forest places, filled with nature, and both were taken and raised by an authority figure (Drayden - Gym Leader, Ghetsis - Leader of Team Plasma).
(Fun sidenote: they take their forest beginnings in not full opposite, but certainly different ways!)
Of course, the way they were raised couldn't have been more different. But it still took them both to...
Champion and Royalty
This is something I talked more about in another post, but both of them have beat the Elite Four and Alder, as Masters helpfully points out in N's Event (N also gets to show up in the Champion Stadium tutorial, being the only non-Champion to do so). N only honorarily counts as Champion, but still, both stopped by the title.
Their teams have similarities too. Besides the Dragon-type overlap, both of them have Archeops, Lapras can align with N's "rare, opressed pokemon" preferences.
And both of them take on the role and imagery of royalty;
The Hisui Connection: Legends Arceus Bonus
Although obviously not there at first, this is a fun thing that they got over the years.
As we all know, N's goal is:
Come Legends Arceus, we see a world that was just like that: Humans and pokemons living side-by-side, in no pokeballs, as siblings. It is N's dream world.
However, it is not completely gone: The Village of Dragons remains the same kind of place as the Hisuian Clans.
Maturity and Age
I feel it is interesting to cap this off with their ages: Iris is a child, but tries her best to be a mature champion. N is an adult, but Most Certainly emotionally stunted.
Neither of them is perfect, still having a lot to catch up in experiences and what not. But both of them want the same thing now
And just as importantly: in spite of all they have of different or the same, they're friends.
And together, they have plenty to grow into, towards their ideal world
i think n is a fusion of cheren and bianca. like. narratively. n has bianca’s innocence and optimism + cheren’s intelligence and arrogance. n was raised in a very sheltered environment where the truth was hidden from him (like bianca) and he starts his journey single-mindedly pursuing an ideal that involves defeating the champion and becoming the strongest (like cheren). black and white combining to grey or what have you. god the hair colours even match. dark blue + light yellow = green.
