Danny Kensington twenty years old, son of wendy and edward kensington, little brother to jane, and junior at auradon state. i run the podcast bedtime with danny where i come up with fun bedtime stories that hopefully entertain you before you fall fast asleep. i'm also in adventure club, lgbtq+ club, and i'm one of those cheerleaders to boot. i'm a peter pan stan and while i'm not officially a lost boy, i like to think i can hang with the best and wildest of them!

unfiltered opinions about your cousins?

Oh, easy! @darlingvirginias is one of the prettiest, smartest, and most to-the-point girls in all of Auradon and even if she wasn’t my cousin, I’d be lowkey obsessed with how instantly and accidentally iconic everything she does is. I love her a lot and I feel so lucky to be privileged enough to get to bug her about things that are clearly beneath her. As for @michelledarling, well, as an openly gay man, I love how proud she is about being bi, of course! If I ever want to go somewhere to gush about how amazing not being straight is, she’s definitely where I go. She’s a little weirder than most people but she’s family so I’ve got to love her!

Ripley: She's gorgeous and pretty popular, if she joins I think some others would follow. hmm Dizzy, Kendall (idk if he does sports). Think Cash would be into it? I could maybe seeing Ariana being interested.

Danny: Dizzy would be cute! I love having my cheerleading fam around me! You'd have to ask Kendall if he plays sports because if he does, I haven't noticed, whoops. He's not exactly on my list of hot boys to watch. And Ariana would be good because she for sure can swim! I don't know if Cash would be into it, Leander is the one of those boys that I watch!

My favorite one to do is either a backflip or the splits just because it impresses people so easy and fast! My favorite to watch is probably an aerial!

Jeremy: Absolutely! Sad as it was to hear, I'm glad he confided in me since it lets me know I'm doing a good job so far! We definitely can't go back and change that, unfortunately, but I'm at least looking forward to changing that for the future. Kion: Lunges? Never woulda thought of that. I would have gone straight for yoga or something lol. See? Already helping me out!

Kion: I'm gonna need a whole routine. Think you can help me figure one out? I mostly do a lot of running for track, I have no idea where to start for this kind of conditioning.

Danny: You can incorporate lunges into yoga! Maybe start with sun salutations and take a lot of time sinking into the warrior poses and then just focus on lunges for like half an hour?

Danny: A whole routine? I can definitely help with that! Just let me know when you're free and we can warm up somewhere!

what's your favorite cheerleading movie?

I mean, as a guy, mostly what I do is spotting, and not just any guy gets to be a spotter, so I guess I’d say that since getting to do it so often means I’m really freaking good! I also like doing the splits though mostly because it gets a lot of attention.

where did you come up with the idea for bedtime with danny?

I guess the seed was planted when I was still a baby! I always required lots of bedtime stories to go to sleep and at one point my mom said I should try coming up with my own or else they’d run out of ones to tell me. I know she was joking but the older I got, the more random bits of stories would come to me and I’d write them down. I’m not great at writing but I’ve been telling stories since I was little, and in the age of podcasts, it seemed like it’d be a fun idea! I also love when people send in regional bedtime stories that I’ve never heard before; reading new life into strangers’ old favorites is so rewarding, and coming up with my own tales just kind of feels like continuing a legacy of sorts.

And maybe I also happen to love hearing the sound of my own voice. There’s that too! But in my defense, it’s a super nice voice.

If Peter offered, would you become a lost boy?

Oh my gooooosh that’s a hard one because if it had happened at any point before I turned eighteen? The answer would’ve been a hands down YES! But I don’t know, now that I’m a little bit older, the idea of growing up doesn’t seem that bad! In fact, maybe I even want to grow up a little bit now? Do grown up things with grown up people? Sorry, Peter! You’ll always be a favorite in my heart and oh, what could’ve been!
