"Blogs are getting deleted... what do I do?"
I have had first hand experience with this... i'm tired of seeing people saying "chill they arent deleting blogs" ... search "tumblr terminated" on twitter... every 5 minutes someone new tweets that they've been deleted
How do i know if i'm in danger?
If you ever posted any type of audio including:
covers of songs (even your own cover)
any audio of someone famous speaking (Obama's speech)
audio of a performance (Darren Criss singing Disney songs)
(Videos could possibly be included in this as well- right now they are targeting just audio files)
It takes 3 strikes on your ACCOUNT- and it can happen all at once...
Account.. not blog.. so if you have 3 different URLS that get reported once each- all your blogs will be terminated
You will get an email that says "your account has been terminated" etc.
You will not be able to access your account
Your other posts will remain on the blogs who've reblogged them
You will not be able to sign up with the same email again
You will lose all urls forever
What should i do to protect myself right now?
Remake a new tumblr account with a new email- transfer over your urls you want saved and direct your old followers to your new account- do not post audio on your new blogs
Deleting your audio posts will not protect you if someone has already reblogged it- you've got to start fresh
request a back up of your blogs now
