Sweet
the dude who invented the rule about holding hands during a seance after noticing he’s sitting next to the guy he likes: oh haven’t you heard?
iconic!
this is the plot to mama mia
This blew my damn mind
I fucking KNEW there was a difference between address and address!
You address a person by their name.
You give someone your address.
i hate this god damn bastard language
how to properly hold an N64 controller
trans people are the only people who have any business hosting gender reveal parties
HOLY SHIT I LOVE IT
In 2005, a group of artists in Italy built a giant 200-foot-long plushie rabbit in the countryside, and just left it there. It’s been there ever since.

i think about this all the time
Wonder what he’s doing now…
That’s his decaying body in 2011
And 2012
He’s made of natural materials and is expected to completely disintegrate by 2025. Me too, bro
This is my favorite pic of him in the winter of 2006
When my mom and aunt were younger my aunt was in high school and my mom in middle school. A group of girls were bullying my aunt and one slapped her in the lunch room. The principal met with my grandma and the other mom. He said they weren’t punishing the other girl because he didn’t get involved in “girl problems.” My grandma asked if that meant my aunt could retaliate the next time it happened and he said no then it would be a fight and they’d both get in trouble.
So my grandma turned away from him and to the other mom and said “I have another daughter. She doesn’t go to this school and she’s a star softball player with her own bat. You can tell your daughter to stop bothering mine or you can drive her to the hospital with a shattered jaw. That’s your choice.” And walked out.
Few months later that girl stole a necklace from my aunt. My grandma called the cops and they all drove to her house to get it back. The cop came outside with it and said he told the family my grandma wouldn’t press charges if they gave it back. My grandma took the necklace and said “Then you’re going to have to go in and tell them you lied because I am pressing charges. She’s a thief and I want her treated like one.”
My grandma was a single mom in the 70s with two daughters and she took no shit from men who tried to undermine her and her daughters.
She also got excommunicated and then re-communicated after bothering the Vatican enough to let her back in
She doesn’t even like being Catholic and is Episcopalian now. It was more of a “You can’t fire me, I quit!” which is even better, at least to me
a summary of the consequences of my life because I read percy jackson
1. I steal my older brother’s PJO books, read them, and download Pinterest on my Kindle to get my first taste of fandom
2. I spend a lot of time online, secretly, and am exposed–for the first time–to the fact that it’s weird that I share a room and bed with my dad and am not allowed anywhere else
3. My dad brings me to a corn field and tells me obama is the anti-christ who’s been sent by god to end the world, as foretold by the bible. I believe this and cry when he’s elected because i don’t want to die
4. I begin googling and discover that my situation is not great. I begin a careful attempt to ~distance~ myself from my father by sleeping anywhere else through any means possible. Eventually, I’m allowed to sleep in my own room
5. Now that I’ve been exposed to the real world and the fact that I’ve been groomed, I’m not ~obedient~ anymore and my dad Dips(™) to find a new kid. We lose our house and have to move to government housing in a new city
6. Eventually my parents divorce because of this. My dad moves to a horse ranch. I visit him on the horse ranch, think it’s cool, and invite my friends over for a sleepover. I have my first gay kiss with a girl in a tent. The next day my father tries to ~kill~ me on the horse ranch(™) with a golf cart
7.My dad disappears from the face of the earth. He forgets his phone is connected to the family iMac. We know all about the crimes he is committing. He fakes a heart attack in a Wal-Mart at some point, idk
8. The FBI is onto his life of crime. He flees to Romania to escape them and lives with a millionaire Romanian woman. She’s suspicious of him after a while. She hires a private investigator and unearths his life of lies and crime. He flees to Alaska. He gets a roommate in Alaska. The roommate goes to federal prison. We never hear from my father again. He is, perhaps, dead.
9. It’s revealed to us that my grandmother is also involved. She’s been smuggling drugs from the hospital. She also goes to federal prison. Also apparently my older brother and I aren’t related. This was another scam from my father
Understandable response

Columbia University Student Will Drag Her Mattress Around Campus Until Her Rapist Is Gone
“I think the act of carrying something that is normally found in our bedroom out into the light is supposed to mirror the way I’ve talked to the media and talked to different news channels, etc,” Emma continues in the full video which you can watch here.
So, I just want to go into HOW MUCH Columbia and the NYPD has failed, and revictimized, Emma Sulkowitz.
What I really love about this ‘mattress performance’ is that other students helped her carry her mattress across campus.
All those people reminded her that she didn’t have to carry that weight alone. That’s amazing.
this is her at her graduation
At her fucking graduation. God damn.
I’ll never not reblog this
This is about ten years old. Wonder what she’s doing now
Performance art and anti-rape campaigning, according to her Wikipedia article.

I will never not ignore this, I have been this many times before. I AM A SURVIVOR ✊
University: I have made a graduate.
Student Counsellor: You've ruined a perfectly good young adult, is what you've done. Look at it. It's got anxiety.
this year has made me so fucking sensitive. pompeii by bastille, a song i barely like, came on the radio and it made me CRY
you know what bastille……when i close my eyes….it DOES almost feel like nothing’s changed at all …
how AM i gonna be an optimist about this?
anyway, my older sister was adopted when she was almost 16 (kinda on accident too), and because of that she got away from an abusive household, went from barely passing classes to being an honour student, and launching into a career where she’s happy and healthy and paying her own way. just two years of parenting where she had 3 meals a day, a bedtime, and parents to help and protect her changed her life radically. Plus, i got an older sister
adopt teenagers.
As an adopted kid I support this message
people who say things like “oh you only have a few years with them” need to remember that these are human beings not a used car. every human being deserves a support system, a jumping off block, a safe place to return
And it’s not only a few years. If you treat your children right and they are part of a loving family the connection will stay, they might stay close instead of moving cross country, call you, meet up for coffee - generally stay in touch. Family doesn’t end with adulthood. That is unless you fuck them up and they cut all ties with 18.
